Background / History

Mu She led the Wolf Head Mercenary Group, one of Qingshan Town's three major mercenary groups. His son, Mu Li, was positioned as the group’s future leader, with the eight-star Dou Practitioner He Meng assigned as his bodyguard. 143

After two five-star Dou Practitioners were found dead, Mu She suspected Xiao Tian’s involvement and ordered searches conducted in groups of at least four. He avoided openly moving against Xiao Yi Xian because of her reputation and Wanyao Pavilion’s protection, instead planning to spread rumors that she possessed a Xuan-tier Dou Technique so that greedy mercenaries would target her. 113

Mu She soon identified Xiao Tian as the more dangerous enemy. He recognized that Xiao Tian could fight above his rank and had grown strong enough to kill several seven-star Dou Practitioners. Believing Xiao Tian possessed a high-level cultivation method or artifact from the mountain cave, Mu She became increasingly determined to seize it and eliminate him before he could develop further. 113 129 144

Following He Meng’s death and mounting losses among the Wolf Head Mercenary Group, Mu She personally led a large-scale pursuit through the Magical Beast Mountain Range. He drove his men onward despite magical-beast attacks and casualties, eventually cornering Xiao Tian at Soul Severing Ravine. 143 155 156

At the ravine, Mu She fought Xiao Tian directly. Although he initially held a major cultivation advantage, Xiao Tian’s Ice Sealing Heaven and Earth overwhelmed Mu She’s strongest technique and left him severely injured. Mu She ordered the surrounding mercenaries to kill the exhausted Xiao Tian, but Xiao Tian used a Dou Emperor Experience Card and temporarily ascended to Dou Emperor-level power. 158 160 163

Crippled and buried beneath the aftermath of Xiao Tian’s attack, Mu She accepted that he would not survive. He tried to use the location of his Xuan-tier cultivation technique as leverage, but Xiao Tian concluded it was stored at the Wolf Head Mercenary Group headquarters and killed him. 164 165

Personality

Mu She is calculating and cautious when dealing with threats. Rather than confronting Xiao Yi Xian directly, he attempts to weaponize rumors and the greed of other mercenaries against her. He also recognizes Xiao Tian’s extraordinary potential early and concludes that allowing such an enemy to grow would endanger both himself and the Wolf Head Mercenary Group. 113 114

His caution is tempered by greed and pride. Mu She covets the cultivation method he believes Xiao Tian possesses and presses the pursuit even when it takes his men into increasingly dangerous territory. He makes promises to outside mercenaries without intending to honor them, expecting the Wolf Head Mercenary Group to monopolize Xiao Tian’s treasure afterward. 144 155 157

When his authority and group suffer losses, Mu She becomes violently enraged; his subordinates fear being used as targets for his anger. Even after defeat, however, he retains his hatred for Xiao Tian and regrets only that he did not kill him sooner. 129 161 164
