Background / History

Dragon God era

The God Realm was originally the Divine Dragon Realm created by the Dragon God. It controlled more than ten star systems, had incorporated several smaller God Realms, and drew faith power from over a thousand star systems while approaching the status of a God Star. 134

During the ceremony intended to evolve it into a God Star, the Dragon God became mad. Thirteen of the eighteen God Kings fell, many other gods died, and the Dragon Race was heavily slaughtered. The resulting collapse destroyed outer regions of the realm and dispersed its Immortal Spiritual Qi. 134

After the Dragon God's fall, the realm's authority contracted to the Douluo, Yangguang, Five Elements, and Haomiao Continents. The surviving Asura God, God of Goodness, God of Evil, God King of Destruction, and Goddess of Life formed the God Realm Committee to govern the reduced realm. 134

Restrictions on soul beasts

The God Realm does not accept soul beasts as gods, even when they reach the million-year level. This restriction is tied to an order left by the Dragon God: divine beasts cannot ascend while the Dragon God is absent. 3

The Dragon God also established the foundational system for cultivation beyond level 100. Its rules continued to affect later god-tier advancement despite the Dragon Race's fall and changes within the God Realm. 60

Conflict with the Dragon Race

The God Realm observed Dragon Valley World for tens of thousands of years without destroying it or allowing the Dragon Race to recover, leading the Light Dragon King to suspect ulterior motives. 51

When the Light Dragon King learned that Tang San was targeting the Dragon Race and the Elf race's fate energy, he used preparations left inside the God Realm to launch an attack. He intended to delay the realm's response and create time for Rus Wang and the Zheer Continent dragons to develop. 52 140

The Light Dragon King's sacrifice disrupted the God Realm's surveillance of the Zheer Continent. Rus Wang later stated that it had bought his side a prolonged period in which their actions would not readily draw divine attention. 67 74

Ancient Plane Integration

The Ancient Plane suddenly appeared between the Douluo Plane and the God Realm, prompting Destruction and Life to investigate. Life determined that the approaching plane had reached god-level status and was absorbing energy from the Douluo Plane. 108

The God Realm dispatched investigators and later intervened directly against the Ancient God Realm organization. Its gods discovered that the Ancient Plane's fifth God Rank could rival First-Class or Second-Class Gods, while local weapons could seriously injure or kill deities. 123 124 134

After a campaign lasting more than a year, Destruction's forces withdrew from the Ancient Plane with greater knowledge of its power structure and the Ancient God Realm's threat. 134

Following the plane-collision crisis, the God Realm, Dragon Race, and Ancient Plane reached an agreement:

• The Ancient Plane would enter the God Realm's jurisdiction.
• Its internal affairs would remain under the management of its native inhabitants.
• The Dragon Race would retain the settled surface territory of the Douluo Plane. 148

The incorporation revealed that the Ancient Plane had been stabilized from forcibly fused world fragments, including fragments of the God Realm left by the Dragon God's war. This gave the Ancient Plane the status of a demi-God Realm and explained why its God Rank experts could rival lower-ranked gods. 147 149

Internal Expansion Dispute

Destruction proposed expanding the God Realm to accommodate powerful Ancient Plane cultivators and reinforce divine authority. 149

Tang San opposed the proposal, arguing that the God Realm was already saturated and that expansion could destabilize both the realm and the mortal worlds it oversaw. 149

Destruction, Life, and the Ancient God privately considered Tang San an obstacle. Their plan was to recover God Realm fragments from the Ancient Plane, repair the existing realm, and reduce the risk of expansion before granting Ancient Plane powerhouses formal divine status. 149

By the Light Province Event, Tang San led the Shrek Six Monsters and the Butterfly God against Destruction and the Ancient God, while most other gods remained neutral. 151
