Background / History

After the Dragon God's fall, the Light Dragon King's physical body perished, but his soul endured in the Dragon Valley World. The Heavenly Sun Dragon bloodline retained the position of patriarch and reported to him through a spatial rift each year for ten thousand years. He continued to uphold Dragon Clan governance, including judgment of rogue hundred-thousand-year soul beasts under the Dragon Clan Code. 19 33

His continued existence depended on energy ores. Without replenishment, he would eventually degrade into an unconscious Dragon Cloud like the other souls in Dragon Valley; when Rus Wang arrived with ores after four centuries without contact, the Light Dragon King recognized him as both a new Dragon King and his savior. 22 23

He approved of Rus Wang's protection of the elves, judging them to be a necessary ally because they could cultivate without hunting soul beasts for rings. He nevertheless warned Rus that power gained through faith was a dead end. 23

As human expansion threatened Dragon Valley Forest, the Light Dragon King instructed Rus Wang to develop the Elf Kingdom, relocate surviving dragons to the protected Zheer Continent, and preserve copied Dragon Clan inheritance manuals outside Dragon Valley World. 24 33 49
