Background / History

The Four Divine Beasts Clan was once the foremost clan across the Four Supreme Planes and seven Divine Planes, backed by the four divine-beast Sovereigns. Its immense past prestige and wealth made the Tianji Mountain Range an imposing ancestral home, marked by colossal statues of the Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Black Tortoise. 85 86

After the deaths of the Four Divine Beasts, the clan lost its Sovereign backing and became vulnerable to the Eight Great Clans, whose feud with it had lasted for hundreds of millions of years. Beirut temporarily preserved the clan by using his Darkness God Clone to kill more than twenty Seven-Star Fiends from the Eight Great Clans and forbidding further attacks on the Tianji Mountain Range. 3

Despite Beirut's protection, the clan's resources and Sovereign Power reserves steadily diminished. Its weakened position became public when Huoxie, newly recognized as a Grand Perfection, forced the clan to surrender 1,100 drops of Sovereign Power after the Vermilion Bird Clan Leader attacked him. 87

The Eight Great Clans later encircled the Tianji Mountain Range and launched their final offensive under Hodan's command. Beirut, Dannington, and Qinghuo initially appeared to defend the clan, but the defenders ultimately withdrew or could not intervene further. 98 108

Hodan personally killed the clan's principal leadership, including Gaiseresen, the Vermilion Bird Clan Leader, the White Tiger Clan Leader, the Black Tortoise Clan Leader, and Great Elder Gaia. The Eight Great Clans then massacred the remaining forces and organized squads to pursue survivors through the clan's secret passages and strongholds. 111 113 114

Following the Four Divine Beasts’ deaths, the clan became the target of the Eight Great Clans. Beirut’s intervention prevented its immediate destruction, but the clan remained trapped in a prolonged war around the Tianji Mountain Range. 3 4

Huoxie’s Extortion

Huoxie openly humiliated the clan at its own gates, defeated the Vermilion Bird Clan Leader in one strike, and extracted 1,100 drops of Sovereign Power. Gaiseresen accepted the loss rather than risk the clan’s annihilation by a Grand Perfection. 87

Final War

The Eight Great Clans sealed the exits of the Tianji Mountain Range and began their full-scale assault. The clan’s leaders and elders initially fought with Sovereign Power and desperate resolve, while the patriarchs sought to delay Hodan long enough for their members to escape. 96 99 109

Annihilation

The clan’s fused innate divine ability briefly injured Hodan, but he responded by killing its leadership one by one. After the last three top experts fell, the Eight Great Clans overran the mountain range and exterminated or pursued the surviving clan members. 110 113 114

Seizure of Its Legacy

The clan’s territory, council hall, Blood Essence, Sovereign Artifacts, Sovereign Power, Inkstones, and Baptism Pool became spoils for Hodan and the Eight Great Clans. Its former headquarters later became the base of the Eight Great Clans’ alliance. 120 122 124
