Background / History

Yaoyao spent her earliest remembered years living in seclusion with Cangyuan, whom she calls “Grandpa Hei” and regards as family. She had never encountered outsiders before Mu Chen and Su Youwei arrived in her isolated home by accident. 21 23

Her origins are tied to the Holy Clan and Cang Xuan Ancestor. In a vision shown to her, Cang Xuan Ancestor protected her as an infant against three Holy Clan experts, ultimately sending her away before falling in battle. Cangyuan later took her in and kept her power sealed while evading the Holy Clan. 99 245

After leaving Cangyuan's hidden residence with Mu Chen and Zhou Yuan, Yaoyao adapted to life in Great Zhou. She developed a fondness for wine, studied Origin Patterns, taught others, and gradually formed close bonds with Mu Chen, Su Youwei, Zhou Yuan, and Tuntun. 27 29 30 32
