Thinking of the death traps Kismet created, Thor recalled a scene he had witnessed while using the Nightmare Butterfly to observe the history of the Diary.

In that segment of history, a previous owner of the Diary was sitting atop a mountain of corpses, sighing as he held the book.

He must have slaughtered a vast number of people for the sake of Death Energy.

Looking at the mountain piled high with bodies, he had likely killed enough people to populate an entire continent to reach that magnitude.

Thor asked himself, did he want to become the next Kismet, or become an existence like the former owner of the Diary?

He did not need to ponder for long; he already had his answer.

"Kismet did not live a good life. And the previous owner of the Diary clearly gave up on the book that required sacrificing countless lives in the end."

Thor did not intend to walk the same old path as his predecessors.

Moreover, he already had a vague new idea in mind regarding how to replenish the Death Energy of the Diary.

Thor left the fifth floor of the Wizard Tower and headed down the spiral staircase.

As Thor moved, eyes seemed to sprout from the walls like a stress response.

They would emerge from within the walls when Thor approached and close their lids again when he left, remaining as hidden as if they did not exist.

When Thor reached the third floor, a Mouth suddenly appeared on the White Gate, which shared the same color scheme as the Wizard Tower.

"Master Tower Master!"

The Mouth greeted Thor enthusiastically, but before it could receive a response, the door it was attached to was pulled open from the inside.

Byron's expressionless face appeared, his under-eyes dark and bruised.
