Chen Ming awakened the Heavy Armored Earth Dragon in Holy Soul Village at age six. Su Yuntao identified it as a high-level dragon-type Martial Soul associated with earth, immense strength, and formidable defense. Its initial Innate Soul Power was level seven. 2 3

Unlike a conventional Beast Martial Soul possession, the Heavy Armored Earth Dragon formed an additional armor-like layer over Chen Ming's body while preserving his senses. Su Yuntao considered its scales durable enough that attacking without a Soul Skill could injure the attacker before penetrating Chen Ming's armor. 3 4

After obtaining a compatible sub-dragon Spirit Ring, Chen Ming began exploring the Martial Soul's unusual capacity to shift between beast and tool characteristics. His later second-ring absorption, aided by the Earth Dragon Golden Melon, catalyzed its evolution into the Sacred Earth Dragon. 18 40 41

The Martial Soul is Chen Ming's original and primary Martial Soul. Its evolution is closely tied to his AI Thinking, which permits him to analyze its structure, influence Spirit Skill tendencies, construct the artificial AI Dragon Soul, and develop its Beast Soul Tool-ification applications. 18 41 101

Following the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well reforging, it became one of Chen Ming's two mutually compatible Martial Souls. Unlike ordinary Twin Martial Soul possessors, Chen Ming can release it together with the Dragon Spear, allowing the two Martial Souls to reinforce one another. 159 160

Its awakening also doubled Chen Ming's initial computational capacity. Soul Power subsequently allowed him to maintain bodily functions during high-speed thought, reducing the associated physical energy burden and extending his simulations. 6 7
