Background
Gallo transmigrated into the body of thirteen-year-old Gallo Channing, a second-year student at Origa Middle School in Tin City, capital of the Iron Glory Empire. His father, an army lieutenant, died in the Southern Continent colonial war; Gallo lives in a rented attic at 21 Valen Street with his ill mother, Aisha, and younger sister, Lily. Unable to pay four Nalang in tuition, he takes leave from school to seek work. 1
Soon after transmigrating, Gallo discovers an attribute system with Wisdom, Psionic, and Physical paths. Concerned foremost with supporting his family, he chooses Wisdom and develops extraordinary learning, memory, and knowledge-processing capabilities. 1 2
After memorizing the stock of all forty-one bookstores on Lubo Lane, he turns his abilities into a Knowledge Navigation service outside Moonlight Cafe. His rapid book-finding and content-analysis work earns him a growing university clientele, enough income to buy medicine and better food for his family. 4 7 12
His success brings him into contact with Professor Vanason Joel and the mysterious Askia hieroglyph research of Professor Jeffrey Gito. Gallo's eventual translation of a human-skin notebook entangles him with Sacia Taylor, Malcolm, Blood-Howl Gorak, and Clovin. 12 14 18 25 30
Appearance
Gallo is a young teenage boy with a boyish face. He initially wears neat but worn clothing, with notably dirty shoes, reflecting his family’s poverty. 4 19
- Thirteen years old when he transmigrates. 1
- Usually carries a simple Knowledge Navigation sign while working outside Moonlight Cafe. 8 12
- Is often addressed as “Mr. Gallo” despite his age because of his reputation among university students. 19
- His spiritual projection manifests as a faceless white-gold humanoid radiance. 45
Personality
Gallo is pragmatic, cautious, and deeply responsible toward his family. Although he possesses potentially dangerous supernatural abilities, he initially chooses the comparatively safe Wisdom Path because earning money for Aisha and Lily matters more to him than pursuing power. 2 19
He is resourceful in business: he creates his consultation service, establishes fair cooperation with Lubo Lane’s bookstore owners, and refuses private gifts to preserve impartiality. 7 20 He also maintains composure under public skepticism, surveillance, and direct pressure from Malcolm’s group. 10 11 35
His compassion has limits when protecting his identity and family. He alters the cult’s ritual to summon his own projection, then overwhelms Sacia’s mind with foreign knowledge so Clovin cannot interrogate her about him. 31 45 46
Abilities & Skills
System-Enhanced Learning and Memory
Gallo can read, memorize, and retrieve written material at extraordinary speed.
- Memorizes the titles and locations of books across Lubo Lane’s forty-one bookstores. 4 5
- At Learning Lv2 and Memory Lv2, can rapidly absorb a book and recall specific pages and lines after closing it. 6
- At Learning Lv3, can synthesize information and explain a work’s underlying concepts. 6
- Uses this ability to provide book recommendations, research support, and content analysis for students and professors. 8 11 12 37
- Extensive high-precision work causes severe mental exhaustion, requiring scheduled rest periods. 19
Subspace Knowledge
Knowledge Lv1 grants Gallo dangerous information concerning Subspace, Psionics, rituals, and entities.
- Understands the risks of psionic eruption, spiritual contamination, possession, and gateways between Subspace and reality. 28 30 39
- Identifies the human-skin notebook as an extraordinary item bearing Subspace contamination. 28
- Alters Gorak’s summoning ritual so that it connects to his own spiritual imprint instead. 31 45
Divination
Gallo uses a one-Fenso coin to receive binary answers through the Law of Causality.
- Uses heads-or-tails divinations to choose streets during his apprenticeship search and to assess business prospects. 3 4 7
- Confirms that he is being followed and that the surveillance is connected to Sacia’s notebook. 17 26
- Predicts that Professor Jeffrey is in danger. 19
- The coin gradually appears greasy and blackened to Gallo after repeated use. 4 7
Inspiration
Inspiration expands Gallo’s perception of spiritual and Subspace phenomena.
- Perceives spiritual fluctuations, including Aisha’s weakened condition and the ominous nature of the notebook. 28
- Performs psychometry by touching the notebook, witnessing its history and Sacia and Malcolm’s involvement with it. 28
- Uses clairvoyance and remote viewing to observe Malcolm’s group and later foresee Malcolm’s confrontation with Clovin. 29 31 36
- Initially overwhelms him with chaotic sensory information and nearly causes a psionic eruption. 28
Spirituality
Spirituality anchors Gallo’s soul, resists Subspace contamination, and allows direct spiritual interference.
- Banishes Blood-Howl Gorak after the entity attempts to invade his consciousness through the notebook. 30
- Purifies the notebook, erasing its dark-red hieroglyphs and replacing its contamination with his own spiritual fluctuation. 30
- Strengthens remote-viewing eyes enough to maintain surveillance over Malcolm’s group for extended periods. 31
- At Spirituality Lv2, manifests overwhelming white-gold Radiance to rescue Kalieqin from Gorak’s possession. 39
Spiritual Projection
Gallo can project his consciousness through Subspace along a spiritual connection.
- Responds to the modified ritual performed by Sacia’s cult as the “Holy True Lord.” 45
- Creates a white-gold humanoid manifestation that terrifies cultists and high-ranking Clovin investigators. 45
- Uses the projection to inject Sacia with incomprehensible information from his former world, leaving her permanently insane from psionic pollution. 46
- Communicates through the recovered notebook when Clovin attempts to trace its spiritual connection. 50

- Malcolm — Sacia’s associate and one of Gallo’s watchers. Gallo monitors him in return and foresees his attack by Clovin; Malcolm later dies during the cult raid. 28 31 36 45
- Blood-Howl Gorak — Hostile Subspace entity that twice attempts to manifest through spiritual contamination and possession; Gallo banishes it on both occasions. 30 39
