As the effects of the green powder wore off, Hope began to feel a persistent pain in the wound on her palm.

He opened his eyes, and there was no one in the area illuminated by the light.

The entire fourth floor of the library was empty. Apart from Professor Armitage, who had gone to the fifth floor, neither Professor Rice nor Professor Larry were there either.

The stench of Wilbur's blood still lingered in the air.

The windows were open, but Hope guessed the place needed a deep cleaning.

Hope slowly moved to the table where the group had just been sitting.

Compared to when he left, a huge empty space appeared on the table, where the leather-bound Necronomicon, about the width of a forearm, Necronomicon.

They've vanished without a trace.

Hope speculated about the current situation.

So— Professor Rice and Professor Larry went together to relocate that book?

But Oliver's skull and Professor Rice's box are still here—would they just leave with that book?

The box was unlocked.

Hope soon discovered that the latches on both sides of the suitcase were not even closed.

Professor Rice shouldn't have left in such a hurry.

Hesitated for a moment.

Hope tried to lift Professor Rice's box, but found that he was no match for his current strength.

He simply sat on the floor, laid the box down, and opened it on the floor.

It seems there's no difference----

Most of them are semi-finished products waiting to be prepared, and some have labels on them.

Hope checked the label on one of the bottles and found that it didn't say the name of the medicine, but rather "Jack Cobert".

Jack —are these Medicine his?

Looking at the contents of the bottle, Hope recalled his knowledge of herbs.

It appears to be a bottle of dried datura flowers?

But it looked a little different from what Hope knew; it seemed to have undergone some other processing—I don't know what it was for.

Put this thing down.

Hope's attention was drawn to an empty bottle nearby, and he picked it up.

There were many empty bottles like these in the box, but these were slightly different.

It wasn't clean; instead, some green powder clung to the inner walls—it seemed to be the raw material for the Green Powder Potion—but Jack probably hadn't used it all up in his bottle of Green Powder Potion.

Hope closed the box again.

Professor Rice hurriedly concocted a bottle of green powder potion, then left with Professor Larry, taking the Necronomicon with them.

But why would he do that?

Who is the green powder medicine for?

Perhaps someone knows. ----Professor Armitage ----

Hope dragged her weak body into the stairwell, gripped the handrail, and tried her best to climb up to the fifth floor of the library.

Even after just a few steps, he was already struggling to keep his breathing steady.

Unlike the fourth floor, the staircase leading to the fifth floor ended at a wall with only a narrow wooden door that could only allow one person to pass through.

Hope tried to push it with her hand.

The door was locked.

He knocked lightly on the wooden door, making a knocking sound.

The sound wasn't loud, but it was clear enough in the empty, quiet library that it almost echoed.

"Professor Armitage?" Hope called out tentatively.

No one answered him; neither the knocking nor the calling seemed to overcome the wall in front of him.

The fifth floor appears to be more unusual than Hope had guessed.

He returned empty-handed. Going downstairs was easier than going up, but Hope still felt slightly uncomfortable. His current physical condition was forcing him to rest.

Midway through, Hope, who had gained some understanding of her current body, abandoned the idea of continuing and used the "Uncertainty" technique to return to the fourth floor.

Unable to get help, Hope focused his attention on the fourth floor, where he made some new discoveries.

Beside the table, on the floor, there was red liquid that was beginning to dry.

He hadn't paid attention to the blood.

Because he had left a pool of blood on Wilbur when he shot Wilbur, he didn't pay any attention to it when he saw it again.

But what he was concerned about now was the strong stench emanating from the blood.

When Wilbur was shot, he still had a human appearance, and his blood did not have such a strong odor.

Wilbur came again----

Hope looked around the blood and finally found a dark red spot on the back of the chair.

This is the place where the stench is strongest.

On the back of the chair----

Hope imagined Wilbur, now Monster, sitting in a chair.

Because Wilbur's wound had actually stopped bleeding, he wouldn't have left any bloodstains on his way there.

But the blood that had already seeped onto Wilbur's clothes had not yet dried.

When Wilbur sat in the chair, blood would smear from his clothes onto the back of the chair.

Wilbur will capture Professor Larry —he must have threatened Professor Rice, forcing Professor Rice to concoct the green powder potion for him.

No, perhaps not the green powder potion— Wilbur seems indifferent to pain; the green powder potion would be pointless for him.

Perhaps Wilbur wanted Professor Rice to concoct a healing remedy for him, but Professor Rice deceived him, giving him only painkillers. If Wilbur could be here—

Professor Armitage shouldn't be able to leave the fifth floor anytime soon, and Wilbur is well aware of this.

Hope covered her forehead.

He suddenly remembered a possibility.

Perhaps Wilbur's plan didn't include waiting for Professor Larry Professor Larry his office.

The special characteristic that turns the possible into the inevitable----

It's possible that Hope, with her "Uncertainty," could single-handedly stop Wilbur.

Professor Larry discovered that it was possible for Hope to be found under the car.

It is possible that Hope will take Professor Larry back to the library.

It's possible that Jack will go to Professor Larry's office to confront Wilbur.

It's also possible that Professor Armitage went to the fifth floor of the library to move the books.

Most importantly—everyone forgot that the Necronomicon on the table was also a possibility, since no one expected Wilbur to dare to come back.

The peculiarity of the seventh order—the seventh order—is more troublesome than Hope had imagined.

Hope looked at the blood on the back of the chair.

He discovered Wilbur.

But now there are two possibilities.

One possibility is that Wilbur is exhausted and unable to use his special abilities to continue concealing his whereabouts.

Another possibility is that Wilbur hopes he will discover these things and that he hopes Hope will come to him.

Just as Hope was about to use "Uncertainty" to find Jack.

The phone next to me suddenly rang.

Hope walked with difficulty to the phone and answered it.

"Is that Hope?" a tired voice asked.

The sound quality of this thing is terrible, but Hope can still distinguish the sound from the other side.

Wilbur?

"It's me."

"You must return to Dunwich," Wilbur said. "The great ceremony is about to begin, and you cannot be absent in any way."

"Where are Professor Rice and Professor Larry?"

"They are safe. But if you're not in Dunwich tonight, they will be in danger."

The call ended.

Hope frowned—it was just a meaningless threat—the grand ceremony was about to begin.

If he were to return to Dunwich now, getting the people of Dunwich to evacuate would be impossible—two professors—and how many people were Dunwich? Wilbur seemed somewhat flustered.

Hope understood----

He was more important than he thought, so Wilbur was terrified that he wouldn't return to Dunwich.
