Kidnapping Dezaya and the Chef Carmen

After seeing such powerful figures, Zoro, Kuro, and the others all felt that they were still far too weak. They couldn't even beat some ordinary civilians. They had to become a hundred times stronger!

Meanwhile, Dezaya and her Candy Pirates had landed in Loguetown and were hurrying to the Barto Family headquarters. She had to resolve the conflict between Granny Yubaba and Babaya.

"Babaya! Don't tell me you... You really did something to Granny and the others..."

Dezaya asked, her face pale. She knew Babaya wasn't the kind of man to let things go. If he was here, then whatever had happened with Granny's side was already over!

That meant Granny and Barto might both have been killed by Babaya.

"That's right! The Barto Family has been destroyed! This is the result Old Lady Tang set in motion that very day!"

Daddy had no regrets. He wouldn't let Bartolomeo, who hated him to the core, grow stronger. The odds might have been slim, but he wasn't about to give him any chance at all!

"Why! Why! Couldn't you have spared them one more time for my sake? I was ready to come find you! Why! Why did this happen?!"

Dezaya wailed as if her heart were bleeding. She couldn't believe that the man she loved had really killed her family.

What was she supposed to do?

"I spared them once for your sake!

"But you never made any sacrifice for me!

"You couldn't even protect a house. Now that the only memories we had are gone, I have no reason to stay attached.

"And you never even thought about coming to find me. Instead, you went and formed your own pirate crew!

"So come on! Dezaya, captain of the Candy Pirates! Let's settle this with a duel between pirates!

"The winner takes everything!"

Daddy drew the Sandai Kitetsu and pointed it at Dezaya, whose eyes were red. His expression was terrifyingly cold, and his voice chilled her to the bone!

"Heh heh~ What a cold-blooded captain!"

Kuro of a Hundred Plans watched Daddy with interest, excitement showing on his face. Was he really planning to take his former woman with him this way?

"Babaya! Just kill me!"

Dezaya closed her eyes and gave up resisting. She truly had no idea how she was supposed to treat this man.

Had she really done something wrong?

Maybe if she'd left with Brook back then, none of this would have happened, and everything would have turned out beautifully!

"From now on, you're a low-ranking pirate in the Big Daddy Pirates!

Daddy stepped forward, wrapped an arm around Dezaya's waist, and lifted her up. Then he quickly withdrew. Kuro and the others forced the Candy Pirates' female crewmembers to go with them; they had no power to resist!

"Babaya! Hurry up and kill me! I won't join your ship! Let my crewmates go too!!"

Dezaya struggled violently in Daddy's arms. She would never submit to the demon who had killed her family, even if she still loved the detestable man!

"Shut up! You're nothing but my slave now! You lost, captain of the Candy Pirates! Your Candy Pirates are disbanded and gone!"

Daddy ignored Dezaya's struggles, led his crew back to the ship, and quickly left the island!

"Do you think this is worth it? All you're doing is making me hate you even more!"

Dezaya shouted angrily. She couldn't fight against Babaya's immense strength.

"As long as I think it's worth it, that's all that matters! Your opinion is irrelevant! Remember, you're just a slave now!"

Daddy said expressionlessly, as though Dezaya's hatred meant nothing to him.

Maybe one day, after all his feelings and attachments had been exhausted, he would make this woman disappear for good!

Daddy was merciless toward his enemies, but he showed goodwill to his own people, especially the cooks and doctors.

He was much gentler with crewmembers like her than he was with Kuro and El Drago.

"Welcome aboard, Chef Carmen! From now on, leave your dreams to us, and we'll leave our stomachs in your care!"

Like Nami, Carmen wasn't much of a fighter, but her professional skills were excellent. She didn't need to follow a combat path.

"C-Captain Daddy, I look forward to working with you!"
