Three thousand worlds rose into the air, spinning around Maitreya, with some of them merging together.
Maitreya struck out with his palm, and an enormous palm shadow swept toward Tang Luo.
At the same time, the gathered three thousand worlds transformed into three giant palms, blasting toward Tang Luo from three different directions.
Tang Luo ignored every attack completely and charged straight at Maitreya.
At the instant of collision, he swung his hand sharply. Surging power burst forth, tearing apart the palms before him and around him.
"Boundless Sea of Suffering!"
A vast Buddhist chant rang out at that moment. The shattered palm shadows did not vanish. Instead, they turned into a golden ocean that filled Tang Luo's surroundings.
Vortices and waves surged as though a natural catastrophe had descended.
Yet Tang Luo ignored everything around him. The sea of suffering parted before him as he rode the wind and cleaved through the waves.
Maitreya pressed his palms together. Within the sea of suffering, hundreds of millions of living beings and countless golden-bodied arhats formed its foundation, roaring and wailing.
The golden-bodied arhats stretched out endless arms, grabbing at Tang Luo, seeking to drag him down completely and drown him in this boundless sea of suffering.
Tang Luo stomped down. The sea of suffering shook and shattered, turning from golden waves into countless droplets, then mist.
The arms beneath his feet and the arhats' bodies turned to powder and vanished without a trace.
The sea of suffering could not hinder him in the slightest. Tang Luo had already arrived before Maitreya and threw a punch.
Maitreya met it solemnly. Part of the three thousand worlds formed a precept blade in his hand, which he swung at Tang Luo's fist.
