A Martial Soul is the power a soul master awakens and manifests for cultivation or combat. It may take the form of dragons, plants, beasts, weapons, or other entities; its qualities can determine the user's attributes, combat style, and potential.

• Han Yu awakened the Dark Sacred Dragon and Light Sacred Dragon simultaneously, making him a Twin Martial Souls user with Innate Full Soul Power 1.
• His Dark Sacred Dragon carries Ultimate Darkness, while his Light Sacred Dragon carries Ultimate Light 1.
• Han Yu's twin dragons are linked to his lineage: his mother possesses a Bone Dragon Martial Soul, while his father possesses the Golden Earth Dragon King, which contains Light Sacred Dragon bloodline 1.

• Slaughter City's Asura seal ordinarily prevents the use of Soul Skills without the Divine Slaughter's Domain. Han Yu nevertheless manifests nine rings there and can use his Martial Soul because his inherited Evil God King power outranks the seal 321.

Martial Soul Evolution

Evolution changes a Martial Soul's form or qualities rather than merely increasing its user's Soul Power.

Dragon Transformation is a bloodline-stimulation secret technique that enhances a dragon-type Martial Soul user's body.

• The Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon technique allows one additional body part to undergo dragonification for each major cultivation realm, ultimately enabling full-body transformation 111.
• Gu Rong successfully adapts the technique to the Bone Dragon, manifesting bone armor and a strengthened dragon claw capable of releasing a spatial blade 112.
• The technique can also be modified for the Golden Earth Dragon King and Han Yu's Dark and Light Sacred Dragons due to their equally powerful dragon bloodlines 111 112.

Martial Soul Fusion Skills

Two or more compatible Martial Souls can be combined into a stronger technique.

• Meng Shu and Chao Tianxiang possess the Dragon-Snake Combined Strike; Han Yu considers its potential especially formidable if both reach higher realms 8.
• Flender, Yu Xiaogang, and Liu Erlong combine their Martial Souls into the Golden Sacred Dragon, though Dugu Bo defeats the fusion attack with ease 202.
