Background / History

Ning Fengzhi led the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect while managing the marriage contract between Han Yu and his daughter, Ning Rongrong. He had arranged the betrothal after Han Yu awakened his twin ultimate-attribute Sacred Dragon Martial Souls, viewing Han Yu as the ideal son-in-law who could lead the sect to unprecedented heights. When Rongrong’s conduct at Shrek Academy created tension around the engagement, Ning Fengzhi and Chen Xin attempted to keep the matter contained to preserve sect stability. 1

Gu Rong’s departure with Han Yu to establish the Ling Tian Sect dealt a severe blow to Ning Fengzhi’s position. Though angered by Gu Rong’s accusations of cowardice and Rongrong’s disrespect toward Han Yu, Ning Fengzhi refused to treat the defectors as enemies and confined Rongrong for half a year. 12

Personality

Ning Fengzhi presents himself with a gentle, elegant composure even when confronted with alarming developments. Upon seeing Han Yu established as Ling Tian Sect’s master, he concealed his surprise behind his customary smile despite realizing that Han Yu and Gu Rong’s departure had been a deliberate, permanent break. 26

He is cautious and politically pragmatic. Ning Fengzhi avoids direct confrontations that could endanger his sect, including refusing Ning Rongrong’s request to oppose Gu Rong over Xiao Wu’s abduction because of Gu Rong’s strength and Ling Tian Sect’s backing. 51
