Background / History
Sasuke survives the destruction of the Uchiha clan and grows up pursuing revenge. He and Jingxin once attended the Ninja Academy under Iruka, but their paths diverge sharply: Jingxin leaves Konoha and develops in Iwagakure, while Sasuke initially remains with Team 7 41 113.
Jingxin eventually identifies Itachi, Obito, Danzō, and Hiruzen as the massacre’s principal culprits. By the time Sasuke begins training in Iwagakure, all four are dead, leaving him to find a purpose beyond revenge 53 113.
Personality
Early Sasuke is proud, confrontational, and unwilling to retreat from a stronger opponent. He ignores Sakura’s suggestion to withdraw from his match against Kintsuchi, treating retreat as incompatible with his revenge. Being completely outclassed turns his determination into frustration and nearly irrational attacks 38 41 42.
Learning that the massacre’s perpetrators are dead lifts much of his emotional burden. He accepts Jingxin’s guidance earnestly, although his awkward thanks and immediate departure reveal how uncomfortable he remains with expressing gratitude 113.
His displacement exposes a strong attachment to his family and clan. He tries to preserve another Sasuke’s ordinary childhood without demanding that life for himself. When negotiations fail and the tragedy repeats, helplessness gives way to a colder, more extreme outlook 150 152.
After ten years in the parallel world, he favors enforced peace over Naruto’s belief in mutual understanding. He acknowledges his own extremity but remains committed to using that world to test Jingxin’s plan 153 154.
Abilities & Skills
Sharingan and Advanced Dōjutsu
- Combat prediction: Uses his Sharingan to calculate an opponent’s movement and coordinate carefully angled shuriken attacks 41.
- Reading subtle reactions: Detects Hiruzen’s hesitation and concealed emotional responses during questioning 151.
- Three-tomoe evolution: Gains a clear increase in ocular power through Jingxin’s emotional provocation and genjutsu 42.
- Mangekyō and Eternal Mangekyō: Attains both forms during his parallel-world arc; no specific Mangekyō technique is demonstrated for this Sasuke in the supplied passages 152.
- Amenotejikara: Uses the Rinnegan technique to change positions, ambush the Sage of Six Paths, evade Naruto, and place Madara in the path of a Rasenshuriken 153.
Chidori and Combat Fundamentals
- Chidori: Destroys Naruto’s Shadow Clones with concentrated lightning, then clashes directly with Naruto’s Rasengan at the Valley of the End 60.
- Shurikenjutsu: Opens his exam match with a triangular formation designed to restrict Jingxin’s escape routes 41.
- Fire techniques and taijutsu: Uses both against Jingxin during the exam, but is outmatched in every exchange 41.
Sealing and Chakra Acquisition
- Yin-powered sealing: Seals the Sage of Six Paths’ chakra inside himself 153.
- Tailed Beast absorption: Acquires chakra from the One-Tail through Eight-Tails and Yin-Kurama 153.
- Cross-dimensional signaling: Concentrates his own chakra, the Sage’s chakra, and Tailed Beast chakra into a marked kunai so Jingxin can sense it across spatial barriers. The kunai nearly breaks under the load 153.
Impure World Reincarnation
- Reanimates Madara: Uses Impure World Reincarnation to bring Madara into his confrontation with Naruto and the other shinobi 153.
- Creates a diversion: Madara holds off intervening ninja while Sasuke continues sealing the Tailed Beasts and prepares his signal to Jingxin 153.
Disguise and Planning
- Transformation Technique: Enters the displaced world’s Konoha disguised as an ordinary passerby 150.
- Political questioning: Tests Hiruzen’s honesty by asking about Danzō’s intended treatment of the Uchiha 151.
- Long-term preparation: Spends years training alone and conceals his identity until after Kaguya’s sealing 152 153.
- Battlefield deception: Questions Naruto about peace while buying time to finish absorbing Tailed Beast chakra 153.

- Madara Uchiha, parallel-world counterpart — Reanimated ally during Sasuke’s seizure of the Sage’s and Tailed Beasts’ chakra; cooperates out of curiosity about his plan 153.
Story Role / Major Arcs
Chūnin Exams
In the Forest of Death, Orochimaru tests Sasuke and gives him the Heaven Curse Mark. Jingxin initially allows the encounter to proceed, believing Orochimaru can help Sasuke grow faster than Konoha, then intervenes so Sakura can take her teammates to safety 38.
Sasuke later faces Jingxin, disguised as Kintsuchi, in the exam arena. Jingxin defeats his throwing attacks, fire techniques, and taijutsu, then deliberately intensifies his frustration. A final genjutsu reenacting the massacre triggers Sasuke’s three-tomoe awakening despite his defeat 41 42.
During the upheaval surrounding the exams, Jingxin reveals Danzō’s involvement in the massacre and later supplies Sasuke with the complete list of principal culprits 45 53.
Leaving Konoha and Training in Iwagakure
Sasuke defects to Orochimaru and fights Naruto at the Valley of the End. Jingxin’s intervention allows Orochimaru to take him away despite Konoha’s attempt to retrieve him 59 60 61.
Orochimaru subsequently sends Sasuke to Jingxin’s training ground. After learning that the massacre’s perpetrators are dead, Sasuke stays in Iwagakure to train. Jingxin starts with physical conditioning, explaining that stronger physical and mental foundations will increase his chakra capacity and eventually support Shadow Clone-assisted training 113.
Displacement and the Repeated Uchiha Tragedy
Urashiki’s divine technique throws Sasuke into another world, where his younger counterpart is still six years old and the massacre has not occurred. He initially watches that child and Itachi from a distance, expecting to find Jingxin and prevent the coming disaster 150.
Captured by Anbu, he reveals his origin to Hiruzen, Fugaku, and Itachi. Their provisional agreement fails to resolve the underlying distrust. Discovering that Jingxin does not exist in this world destroys the foundation of Sasuke’s confidence 151 152.
Sasuke proposes leaving Konoha, but the clan elders choose a more radical course. After Shisui’s death and renewed preparations against the clan, Sasuke awakens his Mangekyō and subsequently fights with the Eternal Mangekyō. Fewer than one in ten Uchiha survive the ensuing conflict. He leaves to train alone 152.
Seizing Power to Enforce Peace
After Kaguya is sealed, Sasuke reveals that the native Sasuke died long ago. He absorbs the Sage of Six Paths’ chakra, reanimates Madara, and takes the Tailed Beasts’ chakra while Naruto attempts to stop him 153.
His chakra-loaded Flying Thunder God kunai successfully calls Jingxin across worlds. Sasuke explains that he has spent ten years there and intends to remain. Jingxin removes Naruto into a Space-Time Tunnel and agrees to return every three months, leaving Sasuke to pursue his experiment in permanent peace 153 154.
Parallel-World Counterparts
| Counterpart | Distinguishing facts |
|---|---|
| Older Sasuke traveling with Boruto | Comes from a world that experienced the Fourth Shinobi World War. Possesses the Rinnegan, carries a Kusanagi Sword, gathers intelligence on Urashiki, and coordinates with Tsunade and Jiraiya to protect young Naruto 91 92 93 94 95. |
| One-armed Sasuke in the later Chūnin Exams world | Sarada’s father. Lends Jingxin an Ōtsutsuki treasure and works with Naruto to protect their children and nearby civilians from Momoshiki and Kinshiki 129. |
| Five Kage Summit Sasuke | Infiltrates the summit with Team Taka and seeks Danzō. Unlike Jingxin’s Sasuke, he regards Jingxin with hostility and does not recognize his name. Killer B escapes his apparent capture through an Eight-Tails tentacle decoy 135 137. |
| Native Sasuke of the displaced world | First seen as a six-year-old with Itachi. The displaced Sasuke later states that this counterpart died long before the post-Kaguya confrontation 150 153. |
| Sasuke encountered during another Kaguya battle | Uses a Rinnegan-powered Susanoo to shelter Team 7 from Infinite Tsukuyomi and carry allies above Kaguya’s lava dimension. Jingxin does not share the trust he has with his own world’s Sasuke 185. |
