Background

Gui Mei’s martial soul is exceptionally unusual: he died once, then returned through a soul attachment, leaving him in a state likened to a living corpse and largely immune to physical attacks. Bibi Dong theorizes that his martial soul may be a soul-type Body Martial Soul—possibly his entire soul—and that a life-or-death crisis in his youth triggered an incomplete secondary awakening.
