Background / History

Quanxing is a loose and violent outcast organization active in the world of Outsiders. Its members are drawn from all corners of the land and vary wildly in appearance, methods, and temperament, but are consistently portrayed as unrestrained and fierce. Many behave as bandits, murderers, arsonists, or opportunists who exploit disorder for personal gain. 21 23 26

After the death of Sanyi Sect master Zuo Ruotong, Quanxing members treat the sect’s vulnerability as an opportunity. A group led by Wang Er openly insults Zuo Ruotong and declares its intention to surround, annihilate, and “paint red” the Sanyi Sect. 21

The initial conflict escalates when Quanxing members attack Sichong, Chengzhen, and Du Yang at Master Liu the Dough Sculptor’s residence. Du Yang kills the attackers in self-defense, then warns Wu Gensheng that the Sanyi Sect is not defenseless and gives him one month to respond. 24 25

Wu Gensheng summons Quanxing’s experts to Dawang Mountain and later Dragon Tiger Mountain, where the organization gathers for a confrontation with the Sanyi Sect and numerous righteous factions. Despite learning that Zuo Ruotong voluntarily chose death after discovering that Triple Inverse Life could not grant immortality, many members remain enraged over their slain comrades and attack Du Yang. 26 27

Du Yang repels the assault alone with Triple Inverse Life, killing or maiming more than a hundred Quanxing members, including elder-level fighters. The survivors are left too terrified to continue fighting, and Quanxing’s foundations are described as badly damaged. 28

Organization

• Nature — A gathering of outcasts rather than a disciplined orthodox sect; its members include bandits, thieves, killers, and practitioners of unusual or sinister techniques. 21 23 26
• Leadership — Wu Gensheng serves as Quanxing’s sect leader. 21 24
• Methods — Members employ Qi arts, weapons, firearms, poison, Gu insects, hidden weapons, talismans, and ambushes. 21 22 27
• Reputation — Quanxing is widely regarded as lawless and unscrupulous, with even its own member Master Liu the Dough Sculptor acknowledging that it is “a pack of scoundrels.” 23
• Internal character — Although many members are openly aggressive, they are not uniformly reckless; when facing overwhelming strength, some attempt to flee or avoid direct confrontation. 22 28

Known Members

• Wu Gensheng — Sect leader; summons Quanxing members and attempts to manage the escalating conflict with the Sanyi Sect. 24 26
• Li Muxuan — Known as the “wicked child”; his involvement in bringing Wu Gensheng to the Sanyi Sect becomes central to the conflict. He later expresses remorse and dissipates into Du Yang’s white Qi. 25 28
• Wang Er — A burly Quanxing member who calls himself Wang Er of the Tyrant Blade; he leads a group planning to attack the Sanyi Sect and is killed by Du Yang. 21 22
• Master Liu the Dough Sculptor — A Quanxing member who lives in the city and speaks candidly about the organization’s criminal nature. 23

Conflict with the Sanyi Sect

Attempted annihilation

Following Zuo Ruotong’s death, Quanxing members believe the Sanyi Sect has lost its strongest protector. Some intend to exploit this weakness by hunting Sanyi disciples and destroying the sect outright. 21 25

Master Liu’s residence

Sichong and Chengzhen enter Quanxing territory seeking Wu Gensheng. Though they initially threaten Master Liu, Du Yang states that they did not truly intend to harm him. Quanxing members arrive in force that night and attack first; Du Yang kills the attackers while protecting his seniors. 24 27

Battle at Dragon Tiger Mountain

At Dragon Tiger Mountain, Quanxing surrounds Du Yang after he accepts responsibility for the deaths of its members and asks that the Sanyi Sect not be targeted. Dozens launch the first wave using Qi attacks, blades, poison, Gu insects, needles, firearms, and talismans. 27

Du Yang’s Triple Inverse Life destroys or nullifies the attacks before they can harm him. He subsequently defeats more than a hundred Quanxing members, leaving the survivors unwilling to challenge him further. 27 28

Relationships

• Sanyi Sect — Hostile; Quanxing members seek to exploit Zuo Ruotong’s death and pursue the sect’s destruction, while the Sanyi Sect retaliates for attacks on its disciples. 21 25
• Du Yang — Primary adversary; he kills multiple Quanxing attackers, issues Wu Gensheng an ultimatum, and devastates the organization at Dragon Tiger Mountain. 22 24 27 28
• Wu Gensheng — Leader; his connection to Zuo Ruotong’s final days fuels the conflict, though he denies responsibility for murdering the Daying Immortal. 24 26
• Li Muxuan — His actions in bringing Wu Gensheng to the Sanyi Sect are regarded by Du Yang as the spark that set the wider conflict ablaze. 28
