Background / History

Ten thousand years ago, Tang San destroyed Slaughter City by poisoning its Yellow Springs Dew with the Snowy Swan Kiss. The destruction released surviving Fallen Ones, whose subsequent atrocities were presented as contributing to the later proliferation of Evil Soul Masters. Tang San took pride in becoming Slaughter City's destroyer. 99

Tang San established measures at the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well and claimed possession of the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings’ remains. When Di Tian attempted to reclaim the bones, Tang San’s divine consciousness projection confronted him and declared himself their new master. 24

During the conflict, Tang San’s projection discovered that Di Tian had reached godhood. Though initially confident, Tang San was forced to deploy the Sea God Trident and multiple divine techniques against Di Tian and the animated Dragon King bones. 24 25 26

Di Tian ultimately trapped Tang San’s projection with a spatial cage derived from Tang San’s own Unfixed Wind and Waves technique. Tang San temporarily broke free with his Sea God Realm and True Lunar Water, but his divine consciousness avatar was destroyed after Di Tian trapped him again. 28 29

Three months later, Di Tian attacked Shrek Academy to force Tang San’s return. Tang San then descended in his true body and fought Di Tian with God King-level power, but Di Tian used Return to the Past to initiate a journey ten thousand years into the past. 32 36 37 38

In the past, Tang San struggled to control his newly acquired divine power against Di Tian. His Invincible Golden Body prevented immediate defeat, but his Ninth Soul Skill, Blue Silver Azure Dragon Soul, was easily countered. 39

Tang San temporarily formed an alliance with Qian Renxue and Bibi Dong against Di Tian during the ancient battle. Their combined assault failed, and the historical Tang San was killed when Di Tian redirected and amplified Tang San’s Body and Trident Unity together with Qian Renxue’s Sun Angel. 40 41 42

From the God Realm, Tang San later used a golden trident mark on Wang Dong to take control of her body and manifest the Sea God against Moryo. Tang San initially overpowered Moryo's apparent body with Sea God's Light, but Moryo used Xu Jiujiu as a hostage, completed a further transformation, and evaded Tang San's attacks. 217 218

Moryo ultimately overwhelmed Tang San’s Purple Demon Eye with a superior ocular technique, destroying the Sea God Manifestation’s eyes. The backlash ruined Tang San’s eyes in the God Realm and left them contaminated by power he could not dispel, while Wang Dong fell unconscious after the manifestation collapsed. 219

The Sky Screen subsequently revealed that Wang Dong is Tang San and Xiao Wu’s daughter. 222

Tang San has also covertly monitored Huo Yuhao for years, initially through the divine sense of his daughter Tang Wutong and later through Divine Power secretly planted in Huo Yuhao’s Spirit Sea during his time in the Valley of Love and Emotion. Tang San considers Huo Yuhao the central piece of his ten-thousand-year plan. 320

Personality

Tang San is protective of Shrek Academy and the Child of Destiny, treating threats against Shrek as a direct challenge. Even after his projection was defeated, he warned Di Tian against attacking the academy. 30

He is adaptable in battle, changing tactics after recognizing Di Tian’s god-level strength and repeatedly using new techniques to escape or counterattack. However, prolonged setbacks visibly provoke anger and frustration. 24 27 29

Tang San also operates through indirect manipulation. From the God Realm, he hid divine thought within the God of Love, used it to obtain information beyond the Sky Screen’s blockade, and influenced her to plant a mind-affecting seed in Di Tian. 108

His pride is easily provoked by disrespect toward his divine status. Moryo’s dismissal of him as an insignificant new god enraged Tang San and prompted him to intervene directly through Wang Dong. 217

Tang San's confidence can cause him to underestimate unfamiliar threats. He initially believed Sea God's Light and the Purple Demon Eye would secure victory over Moryo, but became alarmed after Moryo's transformed form evaded his attacks and remained undetectable to his perception. 218

When Moryo's counterattack ruined his eyes, Tang San immediately prioritized his own survival and called for Xiao Wu's help, leaving the unconscious Wang Dong behind. 219

He is ruthlessly pragmatic in protecting his long-term plans. After identifying Gu Yuena and Du Busi as threats outside his calculations, Tang San hoped they would severely injure one another so that he could ambush and eliminate both afterward. 320

When Moryo targets Wang Dong, Tang San intervenes through his daughter’s golden trident mark and manifests the Sea God in the lower realm. Moryo destroys the manifestation and permanently damages Tang San’s eyes with a dark eye technique, forcing Tang San to call for Xiao Wu’s help. 217 219

Tang San initially overwhelms Moryo’s apparent body with Sea God's Light, but Moryo deceives him, sacrifices Xu Jiujiu to complete a transformation, and becomes impossible for Tang San’s Purple Demon Eye to detect.
