Background / History

Millions of years ago, Moryo arrived on Douluo Continent from another world. Its arrival introduced the source power associated with Evil Soul Masters and brought evil soul beasts, including creatures such as the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger, into the world. It also commanded an Undead Legion of immortal stone men. 98 103

Moryo was sealed within a pyramid, where the Holy Spirit Cult later sought to awaken it using Evil Soul Master aura. Zhongli Wu became the key to its unsealing, believing Moryo’s power might offer a path to God Level. 103 124

After its revival, Moryo sought a suitable vessel to preserve its existence. It selected Xuan Zi because of his Taotie bloodline, corrupted him into an Evil Soul Master, pushed him to Level 99, and ultimately possessed his body. 159 160 161 162 166

Moryo then targeted the Star Luo Empire’s Xu family. It required descendants of the Star Crown Martial Soul bloodline to refine a true body and recover its former God Level strength; it also bore a grudge against the family’s ancestors, whom it identified as descendants of someone who had consumed its flesh and blood. 167 186 187
