Naruto stared at the enormous altar before him in disbelief. It was simply too large for him to believe, bigger than two soccer fields put together. Dazed, he asked, "Was this altar built for giants?"
Jiraiya came up beside Naruto and said, "We couldn't believe it at first either, but this should be the altar we're looking for. We just don't know what it's used for or why it was built so large."
Naruto turned to Jiraiya and asked, "Didn't you go inside to explore?"
Jiraiya shook his head. "When the three of us first came to the Land of Rain, we split up to search for the altar. I only found it with the Toad Clan's help. Once I confirmed that this was it, I went back to find Naruto and Sasuke, and then we returned to Konoha." Young Sasuke and Young Naruto nodded as well.
Young Sasuke said, "I was the one who didn't want to explore it then. When Jiraiya brought Naruto and me to the little lake above, I had a terrible premonition, so I decided we should head back first. Even now, I still have that unpleasant feeling. I don't think this altar is as simple as it looks."
Young Naruto nodded too. "It wasn't just Sasuke. I also felt there was more to this altar. There's something sinister about it."
After hearing Young Sasuke and Young Naruto, Naruto finally gave in to his curiosity and extended his senses. An intensely evil surge of dark energy immediately rushed straight into his mind. He stared at the lifeless altar in shock.
Naruto exclaimed, "How many living beings had to die to gather this much death energy and resentment? White Eye, activate!" He activated his White Eye and examined the altar's interior. What he saw gave him
