At noon, Sasuke arrived at Naruto's house. When Karin opened the door, he asked curiously, "Where's that big idiot? Is he not home?"
Karin replied, "He went out with Hinata and hasn't come back yet."
Seeing how dejected Karin looked, Sasuke said, "Oh, I see. Well, I'll be going, then."
Sasuke turned and left, while Karin remained downcast. Then his voice drifted back to her. "If you can't accept it, work hard and get stronger. Karin thought, That's right. I can't just give up. Sitting here feeling sorry for myself won't make Naruto like me. I should work hard to get stronger, just like Sasuke said. As long as I can help Naruto and stay by his side, he'll like me someday. Yes, that's what I'll do.
So Karin began searching Naruto's house. At last, she found what she was looking for beneath his bed.
