Background

Di Guangming was originally the white Light Dragon King. After abandoning research into the fusion of light and darkness, he elevated light into the holy attribute and became the golden Holy Dragon King. He married the Dark Dragon King, became father to Di Tian, and served as the Divine Dragon Realm's law enforcer with the Dragon-Slaying Blade. 1 12 152

During the Dragon Clan's peak, the Dragon God, the Nine Great Dragon Kings, and the ancestor of the Purple Imperial Heaven-Extinguishing Dragon maintained a balance between creation, order, and destruction. As the strongest Dragon King, Di Guangming represented the order side of this balance. 1

Following the Dragon Clan's fall, Di Guangming's soul lingered in the Dragon Tomb. He despaired after learning of the Golden Dragon King's death, but the awakened Amethyst Dragon Soul offered a plan to restore dragonkind by uniting the True Dragon and Sub-Dragon Origins. Di Guangming pledged himself to the reincarnating Dragon Emperor and departed the tomb to locate his new master. 1

In the human world, Di Guangming served Long Zijin while inhabiting a body constructed from Life Gold. He later reunited with Di Tian, who initially remained loyal to the Silver Dragon King. Di Guangming opposed Di Tian's proposal to rely on the Silver Dragon King, believing that path risked another catastrophe for dragonkind. 12 13 19

Appearance

Di Guangming can appear as a human, a dragon soul, or a platinum dragon projection. His human form is a golden-haired man in white with platinum eyes; his dragon form and aura combine platinum, white-gold, light, and holy radiance. 11 14 17

Personality

Di Guangming is intensely loyal to the Dragon Clan and to Long Zijin's restoration plan. Even while his soul was fading in the Dragon Tomb, he immediately accepted the Dragon Emperor's call to rebuild dragonkind's future. 1

He is protective of his family, particularly Di Tian. His concern for his son repeatedly conflicts with Di Tian's loyalty to the Silver Dragon King, though Di Guangming ultimately seeks to guide him toward what he considers a safer future for the clan. 12 13 94

Despite his stern and aloof demeanor, Di Guangming can show open grief and affection: he wept upon reuniting with the remnant souls of the Water and Fire Dragon Kings, and he openly celebrated Di Tian and Zi Ji producing descendants. 17 96
