So she really is just a little girl! The Jaina of today is not yet the Archmage who carries the weight of an entire race on her shoulders, nor the Lord of Theramore. What could be running through her mind? She actually knows how to roast meat?
"Ding! You have learned the life skill: Fishing, Novice."
Well! That is good news. A gourmet paired with a fisherman! Perfect!
After using the rod three times, he returned it and watched Jaina fish. Jaina also reeled in her first gold coin:
Arthas's Gold Coin
"Fine. I will surely obtain a kingdom in the future. Once I am a ruler of a territory, what else could I possibly need? Perhaps a seat that is a bit cooler...?"
Taelan: This... will Jaina still meet Arthas? Or is this the power of the world's inertia? Do I still have a chance to change the trajectory of her fate?
Jaina paused for a moment, then began to fish again.
Little Goblin.Magic Wand's Silver Coin
"Father is dead, Mother is dead! Uncle Tom is dead too! Only Mr. Bigglesworth can keep me company! I truly hope this is all just a nightmare!"
A Gnome who polymorphs into a cat? Mr. Bigglesworth? Is his gold coin here? Right, this is a brand-new world, and it doesn't have version differences. Why shouldn't a Little Goblin be able to toss a lucky coin!
Just then, a small Gnome happened to walk by! What a coincidence! I've finally caught you! Damn it! So that super Polymorph: Cat spell was something you learned from Kel'Thuzad!
As everyone knows, Mr. Bigglesworth is the beloved cat of Archmage Kel'Thuzad! He is an existence not to be trifled with! Taelan Fordring lunged forward, grabbed the Little Goblin, and pulled his shield from his magic pocket, ready to land a Mortal Strike on him at any moment.
The captured Little Goblin.Magic Wand immediately recognized Taelan, and at that moment, Jaina suddenly cheered, "Yay!"
She ran over, holding a gold coin high.
Taelan Fordring's Gold Coin
Quality: Legendary
"I wish to become a powerful Paladin, to protect those I love! To fight for justice for as long as I live!"
This coin not only had a quality attribute, but there was also a line of yellow text at the bottom:
I've been laid off, all because of you! Ha! Ha! (Laughter)
--Nozdormu
This coin, blessed by the Aspect of Time, is exceptionally precious; it could sell for at least 100 gold!
Jaina happily waved the coin in her hand, then casually tossed the coins of Arthas and Little Goblin.Magic Wand back into the Wishing Well.
Taelan Fordring thought for a moment and glanced at Marcia.Chess standing to the side. You toast-drinker, was this your doing?
Marcia.Chess shook her head innocently and said, "These are all your own choices; it has nothing to do with me! Besides, wasn't he also sent to your side by fate?"
The Little Goblin?
Jaina saw the Little Goblin and asked curiously, "Taelan, why are you grabbing him?" Taelan Fordring replied, "He's the one who turned me into a ragdoll cat that day! I've finally caught him today! I must make him compensate me!"
He grabbed the Little Goblin by the collar with both hands and shook him, saying, "It's all your fault! You caused me to be chased for three blocks by a Dragonkin General, and I was nearly hacked to death. That's not even counting being forced to drink expired potion that tasted like crap!"
Jaina pulled the rampaging Taelan back, and just then, she noticed that Taelan had actually fished up her own wish coin! She jumped for joy on the spot, casually tossed the copper coin of Alonsus Faol and the precious ancient gold coin of Quel'Thalas into the Wishing Well, and then asked, "What is your name?"
My ancient gold coin! My 100 gold! Ah...
That Gnome was actually quite a bit older than Taelan, practically a teenager, and he was gifted, otherwise he could never have become an apprentice to Archmage Kel'Thuzad. It was just that he was a Gnome, while Taelan's body had been tempered by World Power, making him taller and sturdier than children of his age. That was why he was able to suppress the Little Goblin, who was already a formal mage.
The Little Goblin was only playing a prank; he had no malicious intent. Held fast, he had no choice but to say, "My name is Little Goblin.Magic Wand."
"Ah, you are Little Goblin.Magic Wand, I just fished up your wish gold coin!"
After Jaina finished speaking, she said to Taelan, "Taelan, let him go. I just saw his wish coin."
Taelan Fordring asked, "What did he wish for? To turn everyone in Dalaran into cats? I really wish he had taken a Counterspell to the face when he cast Malicious Polymorph on Archmage Antonidas."
Jaina shook her head and said to the Little Goblin, "Can you tell me about yourself? If you are still too sad, you don't have to."
The Little Goblin said, "You aren't any taller than me!
Fine, anyway, even my mentor doesn't have time to listen to my rambling. He has endless magic experiments to attend to every day."
Gnomes are a peace-loving race. Little Goblin.Magic Wand was born in Stormwind, where his parents were the official representatives stationed at the Gnomeregan mechanical materials shop.
He spent his childhood in Stormwind; though lonely, it was relatively happy. Aside from the arrogant nobles, the people in that city were quite kind. Although his short stature and unusual appearance made it difficult for him to fit in with the children of Stormwind, no one went out of their way to target him.
Later, the Dark Portal opened, and swarms of Orcs invaded Azeroth. Soon, rumors were flying everywhere in Stormwind. Some said the Orcs were overwhelming, sent by the gods to punish the fat-headed nobles; others said the Orcs were just small raiding parties that General Anduin's soldiers would soon wipe out.
In short, there were all sorts of stories, and the Little Goblin's father couldn't get any definitive information at the time. In fact, even King Llane only learned the truth about the Orcs through the Orc Garona. As official representatives, his family could not act rashly, so they had to send word to Gnomeregan and wait for orders.
But before a reply could arrive, the frenzied Orcs, led by Orgrim Doomhammer, invaded the Stormwind Kingdom. Even at this point, the Stormwind nobles had yet to coordinate. They bickered among themselves, refusing to let the King declare a state of war for fear he would encroach on their lands. Later, the Orcs' combat prowess terrified them, so they refused to agree to Anduin Lothar's retreat plan, as that would mean the destruction of their estates.
The result was that the Orcs had already breached Stormwind, and the nobles seized the only available ships to flee, leaving the civilians behind. Little Goblin became one of those left behind. He watched with his own eyes as his parents were decapitated by Orc Warriors. He had been hidden in a toolbox under a table, which allowed him to survive due to his small size. Later, General Anduin Lothar led a unit back to provide cover for the remaining civilians.
Then began his journey of flight. Later, Uncle Tom's family took him in. They had lost their own children when the Orcs breached Stormwind. The family fled to Hillsbrad and lived in a humble shack near Southshore. They lived in peace for a while there, but then the Orcs marched north again, leaving nothing but scorched earth in their wake. Whether civilian or soldier, all were slaughtered by Orgrim Doomhammer's army.
By this time, the seven kingdoms of the Alliance had finally reached an agreement to resist the Orcs in Hillsbrad. Under normal circumstances, Little Goblin.Magic Wand would have continued to live with a human family; although he had lost his parents, his foster parents could have accompanied him through those difficult years.
But Orgrim, having returned from his expedition to Quel'Thalas, struck back. This time, that damned King of Alterac, Aiden Perenolde, had surrendered to the Horde out of cowardice. Orgrim's army was able to cross the snowy mountains of Alterac quickly and without loss, catching the Allied forces completely off guard! And Little Goblin experienced that cycle of tragedy once more.
His foster parents were killed by the Blackrock elite guard in Hillsbrad. The poor Little Goblin became an orphan once again. Later, due to his outstanding arcane talent, he was rescued by a passing mage. He was taken to Dalaran and became an apprentice to Archmage Kel'Thuzad. This mysterious mage was obsessed with magical research and paid no mind to the apprentices assigned to him.
The Little Goblin's penchant for pranks was developed during this time. As a disciple of an Archmage, many people turned a blind eye to his behavior. After all, he meant no harm.
War had brought immense suffering to this world, and even though the fighting had ended, the scars left behind would not heal overnight. The Little Goblin was not only filled with hatred toward the Orcs, but also harbored deep resentment for Terenas, who had advocated for their internment.
Jaina looked at the Little Goblin, at a loss for words, and could only keep him company in silence.
I've seen the screenshots of the 10.0 storyline recently! I truly feel pathetic for the humans of Azeroth! As a native race of Azeroth, not a single person can stand at the very top to fight for their own world! Yet, a world invader can stand side-by-side with the Dragon Aspects as if it were only natural!
Today's chapter is a bit out of place! Penglai apologizes to everyone!
Additionally, I wish you all a Happy Spring Festival! May you be in good health!
