Kuro reconnected with Sasuke, then revealed the truth about Obito and his past to Minato and Kushina while refusing to return to Konoha. After an emotional reunion with Anko, Kuro disappeared again, but later appeared at the Ninja Academy with Kakashi, Kisame, and Utakata.

• Sasuke accused Kuro of failing to save Itachi, then believed Kuro’s explanation and clung to him as the only living Uchiha who shared his pain.
• Minato, Hiruzen, Kakashi, and Jiraiya discussed the Mist Village alliance and suspected that Karatachi Yagura and Shiina Sora had secretly worked together.
• Kuro met Naruto in a park, examined his chakra, and found Minato and Kushina alive as souls inside Naruto.
• Kuro told Minato and Kushina that Obito had caused the Nine-Tails Incident, their deaths, and the Uchiha massacre, then traded intelligence about Obito for the Flying Thunder God Technique.
• Anko confronted Kuro after his reunion with Naruto, but Kuro explained that the kindhearted Uchiha Kuro she knew had been a false persona and vanished when Kakashi and Kurenai approached.
• Minato told Hiruzen and Jiraiya about Kuro’s departure and Anko’s distress, while Kakashi escorted Kuro, Kisame, and Utakata to Might Duy’s class at the Ninja Academy.
• Sasuke brooded over Kakashi’s absence as Might Duy led the children through a fitness class, and Duy asked Kuro whether they had met before.

Kuro strengthened ties with Konoha and continued building his own place in the Mist Village, while Akatsuki recruited new members and assigned its teams. Raiga revealed the existence of Madara’s secret organization, Moon, and Obito brought him to Night City as Hiruko’s Chimera Technique project advanced.

• Kuro returned from alliance talks with Konoha and learned that Asuma had come back, vowing to save him from Akatsuki.
• Kuro and Mei Terumi spent a day among Mist villagers, then encountered Zabuza and Haku, while Suigetsu’s doujinshi prank ended with Zabuza beating him.
• Obito gave Kuro a list of Akatsuki recruits, including Raiga Kurosuki, and Kuro resolved to build a place where he could belong and defy Obito’s manipulation of people’s fates.
• Kuro planned to strengthen his forces by pursuing techniques and recruits, while he and Kakuzu fought over doujinshi profits before Hidan interrupted them.
• Pain assembled Akatsuki, declared himself its leader, drove Hidan from the tower, and assigned Kuro to partner with Konan.
• Raiga begged Kuro to save Ranmaru and revealed that Madara led a secret organization called Moon, so Kuro agreed to protect the boy and asked Raiga for more information.
• Obito took Raiga to Night City, where he introduced him to the Kaneki twins and Mui, ordered Hiruko’s Chimera Technique research supplied with prisoners, and sent Raiga to see Ranmaru.

As Akatsuki and the Sand Village launched their attack during the Chunin Exams, Kuro protected Konoha and confronted Pain’s forces. He trapped the Akatsuki inside a barrier and prepared to fight them in Sage Mode.

• Kuro spent five years strengthening himself and expanding his organization before learning that Akatsuki and the Sand Village planned to attack Konoha during the Chunin Exams.
• Kuro warned Konoha’s leaders about the attack, then joined Naruto and Sasuke as the exams began and Gaara targeted them.
• During the finals, Naruto defeated Neji, and Sasuke fought Gaara until Gaara transformed into Shukaku and the arena began to collapse.
• Naruto evacuated the contestants and spectators while Kuro confronted Pain and Akatsuki, then protected Jiraiya and the unconscious Gaara with his Susanoo.
• Kuro battled Pain’s forces, destroying summoned beasts and several Paths before Jiraiya escaped with Gaara and the Konoha Anbu.
• Kuro trapped the Akatsuki inside a barrier, killed Hidan, destroyed Scorpion’s puppets, and caused Kakuzu to collapse after destroying four of his hearts.
• Pain offered to ally with Kuro against Uchiha Madara, but Kuro refused, continued draining Nagato’s chakra, and entered Ryūchi Cave Sage Mode.

Kuro defeated Pain and confronted Obito, then exposed his identity as Uchiha Kuro to Mist Village before leaving. As Obito’s allies regrouped and Kuro sought support against the coming threat, Mei Terumi arrived to negotiate an alliance and reconnect with him.

• Kuro destroyed Pain’s forces with his evolved Complete Body Susanoo, then confronted Obito over the Eye of the Moon Plan and Rin’s death.
• Kuro killed Obito in Kirigakure, subdued the Three-Tails, and revealed to Mei Terumi and Kimimaro that he had been Uchiha Kuro all along.
• Kuro left Mist Village before he could explain himself, while Yagura declared that Kuro had saved the village.
• Kuro learned that Orochimaru had vanished, began searching for Nagato and the Rinnegan, and prepared to discuss a threat to the Ninja World with the Five Great Nations.
• Obito survived and set out with Kisame and the Kaneki Twins to reclaim his left eye and strengthen himself against Kuro.
• Mist Village’s people pledged to bring Kuro home, and Mei Terumi promised to return with him.
• Mei Terumi and Utakata arrived in the Land of Rice to propose an alliance, and Kuro invited Mei to speak with him privately after discussing terms.
