Kuro reconciled with Mei and learned that Madara had survived and manipulated the conflict behind the Eye of the Moon Plan. After taking Nagato’s Rinnegan and dealing with Itachi, Kuro prepared to bring Naruto and Sasuke to the Land of Rice as Madara’s threat loomed.

• Mei Terumi offered to get to know Kuro again, and letters from Mist Village assured him that it was still his home.
• Obito and Madara exposed Black Zetsu’s manipulation of the Uchiha-Senju conflict and sealed it, while Madara revealed how Kuro had helped him question the Eye of the Moon Plan.
• Madara and Obito planned to use Konan and Nagato’s Rinnegan to advance their plan, while Konan evaded capture and sought help from Kuro.
• Kuro persuaded Deidara to train a demolition unit for the Land of Rice, then met Konan and learned that the real Uchiha Madara had survived.
• Kuro explained Madara’s plan and took Nagato’s remaining Rinnegan, using Inari God to awaken his own Rinnegan.
• Itachi told Kuro that Sasuke knew the truth about the Uchiha massacre, offered his Mangekyō Sharingan for Sasuke, and was killed by Kuro.
• Kuro confirmed Itachi’s death to Sasuke, who agreed to have Itachi’s eyes transplanted, and then prepared to take Sasuke and Naruto to the Land of Rice while Kakashi stayed behind to protect Konoha.

Kuro summoned Hashirama and Tobirama to help stop Madara, then gathered the nations’ leaders and revealed the threat of the Eye of the Moon Plan. After refusing Madara’s vision of peace, Kuro and Hashirama fought him, while Kuro sensed Indra’s chakra merging with Asura’s in his right eye.

• Killer B’s game proposal interrupted A’s preparations to travel to the Land of Rice, while Ōnoki and Chiyo also set out to meet Kuro.
• Sasuke trained his Mangekyō abilities as Kuro summoned Hashirama and Tobirama, explained Madara’s plan, and gained Hashirama’s agreement to help.
• Madara erased Black Zetsu’s consciousness and fused its empty shell with the Box of Ultimate Bliss fragments to strengthen his armor.
• Kuro welcomed the nations’ delegations to the Land of Rice, where A, Ōnoki, Chiyo, Jiraiya, and Yagura debated the threat and the One-Tail Jinchuriki.
• Madara crashed into the summit, and Kuro transported him and the gathered leaders away with the Flying Thunder God Formation.
• Madara revealed his history of disguising himself as people from Kuro’s past and explained his plan to become the God Tree’s will, but Kuro refused to join him.
• Kuro revealed a curse-mark formation, and Hashirama pinned Madara with the Gate of the Great God before urging him to trust Kuro.
• Madara broke free and battled Kuro and Hashirama, surviving their attacks as Kuro used Magatsuhi God, Space Collapse, and Inari God against him.

Kuro gained Six Paths power and prepared the allied forces for the final battle against Madara and Obito. After Hashirama was revived and empowered to face Madara, the Fourth Shinobi World War began, while Kuro's whereabouts and the true identity of his guiding jonin remained uncertain.

• Kuro awakened the Six-Tomoe Rinnegan, fought Madara, and helped the others escape the destruction of the Land of Whirlpools Island.
• At the Valley of the End, Sasuke immobilized Madara with Enma and Amaterasu, but Obito used Izanagi to save him and then withdrew with him.
• Kuro and the village leaders planned for war, and Kuro discovered Orochimaru's intelligence about the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path and Obito's hidden involvement.
• Kuro revived Hashirama and empowered him with the sages' Senjutsu and Slug's true body so he could hold Madara back.
• Madara and Obito prepared their forces as Kuro organized the allied army and began making Hashirama a weapon with Eternal World and a God Tree branch.
• Kuro's apparent guiding jonin, Uchiha Ryuichi, questioned him at the cemetery about mourning Kichitaro and Yoshiko, while White Zetsu concealed the real Ryuichi's corpse.
• Madara and Hashirama began their duel as Obito sent the White Zetsu and resurrected Uchiha into battle, and the Fourth Shinobi World War started.

As the Allied Shinobi Forces fought the White Zetsu army and Madara’s allies, Kuro obtained the power to become the Ten-Tails’ Jinchuriki and confronted Madara. Their battle shook the Ninja World, while Obito approached Mei Terumi and Karin to discuss Kuro.

• Madara trained Kuro in Uchiha Style Swordsmanship, while Kuro’s former teacher Ryuichi died protecting him during a mission in the Land of Wind.
• Darui rallied the Allied Shinobi Forces as they fought the White Zetsu army, while Gaara warned that Madara’s forces were closing in on the Jinchuriki.
• Kuro brought Naruto and Sasuke to Orochimaru, obtained documents about removing Madara’s soul seal, and absorbed the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, beginning its transformation into the Ten-Tails.
• Naruto told Minato and Kushina that Kuro’s peaceful future might require Konoha to cease existing as a ninja village, and Minato entrusted the future to Kuro.
• The Allied forces battled Otsutsuki Xi and the reincarnated Uchiha, while Obito defeated Jiraiya and Itachi before escaping with Izanagi.
• Kuro intercepted Madara’s Blazing Sun attack, revealed his Six Paths transformation, and fought Madara as the Eight Gates began taking its toll.
• Kuro fused with his Susanoo and clashed with Madara, while Zabuza, Haku, and Suigetsu patrolled Inari City and Obito stopped Mei Terumi from killing Karin so he could discuss Kuro with them.
