After Ye Ming and Beerus's great battle, peace returned to everything. They were now feasting in Bulma's yard.
All the destroyed planets had been restored, and peace had returned to the universe.
After eating and drinking his fill, Beerus said with a smile, "Ye Ming, let's have another match sometime."
Ye Ming was about to agree, but Whis said, "If the universe faces destruction next time, I won't step in to save it again."
Hearing that, Ye Ming could only scratch his head and say, "Lord Beerus, there's no helping it. We're too powerful. If we fight, we'll destroy this universe."
Beerus looked slightly annoyed and glared at Whis, but Whis paid him no attention. Clearly, this sort of thing had happened more than once.
"Hmph, fine. If we're not fighting, we're not fighting. It's not as if I'm bored out of my mind," Beerus said, humming a little tune.
Just then, Vegeta and Son Goku walked over and asked Ye Ming, "Ye Ming, can you teach us how to transform into Super Saiyan 4?"
Ye Ming smiled at them. "I think there's a better way for you to become stronger. Though Super Saiyan 4 is a path for you to increase your strength, I hope you won't take it."
Vegeta asked, "What's a better way to become stronger?"
Ye Ming pointed to Beerus and Whis beside them. "They are. They're gods, and they have ways to increase your strength quickly."
Beerus glanced at Ye Ming pointing at them and looked a little displeased. "It's not as if just any Tom, Dick, or Harry can get our guidance."
Whis said to Beerus, "To be honest, Lord Beerus, strengthening the two of them could be quite beneficial to the development of Universe 7."
Beerus opened his eyes slightly. "Whis, have you had this idea for a while? I admit they're both pretty good, but compared to Ye Ming, they're worlds apart."
Ye Ming suddenly spoke up. "Lord Beerus, please don't underestimate Son Goku and Vegeta. Their future will definitely not disappoint you. You may well have to rely on them more in the future."
Beerus considered Ye Ming's words. He saw no problem with taking them to the God of Destruction Realm to train.
Beerus said lazily, "Whis, take them to the God of Destruction Realm and train them well. I want to see results in a short time."
Beerus then asked, "Ye Ming, where are you going? Why not come back to the God of Destruction Realm with me?"
Ye Ming glanced at Whis, who was looking at him with a smile.
Ye Ming knew that his current strength was merely decent. He still needed to grow stronger, and he had yet to master a godly transformation.
As a transmigrator, Ye Ming also knew about Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan Blue, and all the other Super Saiyan transformations.
He would have to keep working hard to discover them. He couldn't rely on the system for everything, and he didn't want to depend on it unless he reached a critical moment. But the system's missions were directly connected to him, so there was no helping that.
He also felt that, given the potential of this body, he could easily grasp Godly Ki.
Ye Ming thought, Maybe with Whis's help, I can perfect Ultra Instinct faster and enter an even higher divine realm.
Son Goku, standing nearby, was also looking at Ye Ming eagerly. If Ye Ming went too, their chances of success would be all but guaranteed.
Vegeta pretended to be calm, arms folded across his chest, but his eyes had already given him away.
After a few moments, Ye Ming made up his mind. "I've decided to go to the God of Destruction Realm! I still haven't mastered Godly Ki. If I reach the divine realm, I'll be able to increase my strength further."
Beerus nodded in approval, then realized what Ye Ming had said. "If you reach the divine realm, you might even become stronger than me, you brat. Damn it!"
Ye Ming chuckled. "Don't worry, Lord Beerus. You're still the God of Destruction, and I'll always respect you, no matter how strong I become!"
Beerus knew Ye Ming was a decent person, so he said no more. Whis nodded too, clearly approving of Ye Ming.
But then Whis said seriously, "Ye Ming, you must have felt many eyes watching you during the battle. Those gazes came from the Gods of Destruction of other universes."
"They've probably learned about you by now. You're a powerful warrior from Universe 7, so be careful. Quite a few Gods of Destruction are sinister and devious."
Hearing Whis's warning, Ye Ming nodded. "Don't worry, Mr. Whis. I'll be careful! If I stay in the God of Destruction Realm, they won't be able to get at me, right?"
Whis nodded. Beerus declared, "If those fellows are shameless enough to come after you, they won't be going back. Hmph."
"I'm the God of Destruction in this universe. If they dare come after you, they'll be challenging my authority. They have no right to do so."
Only then did Ye Ming realize that Beerus was also a generous and righteous god, at least within certain principles.
Just then, Whis's staff suddenly lit up. He glanced at it and said, "A message from my sister."
Beerus knew who Whis meant, but Son Goku, standing nearby, couldn't keep calm. His old habit was acting up again.
Goku was about to speak when Vegeta immediately covered his mouth and pushed him away, taking him off somewhere else.
Suddenly, the staff stood upright, and Champa's voice came from it. "Hey, you bag of bones. Long time no see."
Hearing that voice, Beerus immediately scratched his ear and said, "You fat tub of lard, what do you want? If it's nothing, get lost."
"Hey, don't be so touchy. Looks like the humans in your universe really gave you a beating, huh? Hahaha! That's hilarious!"
Beerus's veins bulged as he was about to fly into a rage.
Champa quickly added, "I'll come see you in five months, you bag of bones. Hope I don't scare you. I've got a surprise for you. Heehee."
After running his mouth, Champa immediately shut off the staff, leaving Beerus no chance to fire back.
"Who was that just now?" Ye Ming asked, pretending not to know.
Whis quickly explained, "He's the God of Destruction of Universe 6, Lord Beerus's twin brother, Champa."
Son Goku suddenly popped his head out. "Universe 6? Then which universe are we in?"
Vegeta had walked over too, clearly interested.
Whis smiled at them and gestured with his staff. "We're in Universe 7, and Lord Champa, whom you just heard, is the God of Destruction of Universe 6. He governs Universe 6, and there are twelve universes in all."
"Universes 1 and 12, 2 and 3, 4 and 5, 6 and 7, 8 and 9, and 10 and 11 are paired off. Each pair of universes is a set of twins."
"Every universe has a God of Destruction, but our Lord Beerus is the strongest being among all twelve universes."
At those words, Beerus's mouth curled into a faint smile. Before he could show off, though—
Whis continued, "Ye Ming can fight Lord Beerus to a draw, which means he also has the strength of a top-tier God of Destruction. You two need to work hard!"
Goku scratched his head. "I see. Got it!"
This Goku seemed much smarter than the one in the original story. In the original, Whis had explained at length, and he still hadn't understood.
Vegeta merely snorted and said nothing. All he wanted now was to get to the God of Destruction Realm and grow stronger as quickly as possible!
Before that, however, Ye Ming wanted to talk to Son Goku's son, Son Gohan. He said to Goku, "Goku, go get your son for me!"
Goku paused. "You mean Son Gohan?"
Ye Ming nodded. "I'll wait for him in Bulma's yard." With that, he walked outside.
Goku knew Ye Ming had something to say to his son, so he immediately found him and told him, "Gohan, Ye Ming wants to see you. He's waiting for you in Bulma's yard."
Hearing this, Gohan quickly got up and hurried to Bulma's yard. There, he saw the strongest Saiyan, Ye Ming.
He straightened his clothes, then walked over to Ye Ming with a solemn expression. "Mr. Ye Ming, you wanted to see me?"
"Yes, Gohan! There are a few things I want to tell you," Ye Ming said with a smile.
Then he continued, "You used to be one of the strongest Saiyans, but look at yourself now. You're so weak, and you even have the air of a scholar."
Hearing Ye Ming's words, Gohan lowered his head in shame. Ye Ming continued, "You probably let your father or Uncle Vegeta take the lead, so you slacked off on training. You're wasting your own talent."
"When a real crisis arrives, you won't have anyone to rely on. You'll have to depend on yourself."
"When your family is in danger, or you find yourself in danger, you'll understand why you should have worked harder to become stronger."
Ye Ming spoke to Gohan in a stern tone.
By now, Gohan's eyes were brimming with tears. He had understood this lesson when Ye Ming fought Beerus.
Seeing Gohan's expression, Ye Ming patted him on the shoulder. "It's not too late to start training now. You can become stronger and surpass your former peak. With your potential, you can reach your father's level—and even surpass him."
Looking at the powerful Ye Ming before him, Son Gohan suddenly felt full of hope.
Gohan immediately fell to his knees before Ye Ming, startling him. Ye Ming quickly tried to help him up.
But Gohan refused to get up. With tears in his eyes, he said, "Mr. Ye Ming, please teach me how to become stronger. I'll train hard. I don't want to be a burden. I want to become strong!"
The others heard Gohan's voice too. Vegeta stood with his arms folded, paying no attention, though he had already been thinking the same thing. If Ye Ming hadn't spoken with Gohan first, Vegeta would have taught him a lesson himself.
Son Goku scratched his head and said, "This was my failure too. I didn't do what a father should and make sure he trained properly."
Goku knew who was really to blame—his wife, Chi-Chi. She had always opposed Son Gohan training, which was why he was so weak now!
With new crises appearing one after another, Goku had to increase his own strength, and his son's as well.
Ye Ming said gently to Gohan, "You can come with me to the God of Destruction Realm to train. I'm sure Lord Beerus will agree."
Hearing this, Son Gohan stood up. His eyes were full of determination, and he no longer seemed as timid as before.
Ye Ming was glad to see Son Gohan regain his resolve. Vegeta glanced at him, then silently walked away. Goku was also happy to see his son get back on his feet.
Beerus agreed to let Son Gohan go to the God of Destruction Realm, and the matter was settled.
Soon, Vegeta and Son Goku packed their things and carried a huge bag of delicious food, all of it Beerus and Whis's favorites.
Son Goku had already spoken to Chi-Chi and told her that he was going to the God of Destruction Realm with Son Gohan to train.
Chi-Chi knew she had made a mistake before. She also knew that her husband and son were going to train to protect Earth, so she could only see Son Goku and their son off with tears in her eyes.
And so, Ye Ming, Vegeta, Son Goku, and the others set off for the God of Destruction Realm.
A new journey was about to begin. Let's see what the future held for Ye Ming!!
Additional note: Ye Ming didn't reveal how to transform into Super Saiyan God. Since Son Goku and Vegeta would master Super Saiyan Blue later on, transforming into Super Saiyan God would be easy for them, so there was no need. Besides, Super Saiyan God wasn't all that powerful!
