Three months later, Whis arrived at Destruction Space and told Ye Ming and the others to get ready to head to Universe 6.
Everyone in Destruction Space heard Whis and stopped training. Still, they couldn't help feeling a little nostalgic for how quickly they'd been progressing.
Son Gohan was the first to emerge. His clothes were tattered, showing how seriously he'd trained. His eyes were no longer as gentle as before; instead, they held the sharpness he'd had at his peak.
He had now mastered the Super Saiyan Blue Evolved transformation. Unfortunately, he hadn't managed to perfectly integrate his Mystic Form into it.
There hadn't been enough time, which was a little disappointing. Perhaps he'd have to wait until they returned from Universe 6 to finish training. Maybe then I'll complete it, Son Gohan thought.
Vegeta was the second to come out. He looked a little worse for wear, but the corners of his mouth were raised. He hadn't chosen to study the Super Saiyan Blue Evolved transformation. Instead, he'd focused on mastering Hakai Energy.
Vegeta had now gained an initial grasp of Hakai Energy and could achieve the beginnings of the Hakai Form. However, he hadn't mastered it well enough yet, so it could only serve as a trump card.
Son Goku came out third, and it was clear he'd made plenty of progress, too. He'd been training in the Gravity Chamber, improving his physical strength while studying the Super Saiyan Blue Evolved transformation.
Otherwise, using Kaioken at the same time as his Super Saiyan God Form would tear his body apart and cause severe damage. Unlike Ye Ming, he couldn't use it without anything more than draining his stamina.
Son Goku clenched his fists, a confident smile appearing on his face. He'd mastered the Super Saiyan Blue Evolved form, and he could push its Kaioken multiplier to thirty times, greatly increasing his strength.
Ye Ming was the last to emerge. A smile appeared on his face, too. After discussing it with the system, he'd tried to merge his God Form with his Super Saiyan 4 transformation.
Clearly, the three months of unceasing training and honing his will had paid off. On the third-to-last day, he'd finally achieved what he'd envisioned: perfectly fusing his God Form with his Super Saiyan 4.
The system had played a vital role, too. It had guided Ye Ming throughout, helping him learn to control the interplay between Godly Ki and mortal ki in a short time. The system deserved much of the credit!
As expected of the system! If even one thing had gone wrong, he would have "blossomed" on the spot. Only Ye Ming knew how dangerous it had been.
Son Goku and the others watched Ye Ming emerge and studied him. His ki had become even more unfathomable. They couldn't help thinking that the gap in their strength was growing more obvious.
Ye Ming looked at them and said, "You've all made great progress. I take it you've mastered the Super Saiyan Blue Evolved form? And Son Goku, your physical strength has improved a lot."
Vegeta crossed his arms and didn't bother to explain. They'd see for themselves once they were in the arena.
Seeing how confident everyone looked, Whis was pleased. Their chances of winning against Universe 6 had just improved.
Whis waved his staff, changing all their clothes and healing the injuries they'd sustained during training.
Beerus suddenly appeared in front of Ye Ming and the others. "Not bad. Your strength has clearly improved. You're all much stronger than you were three months ago."
Of course, he was talking to Son Goku and the others. Ye Ming was obviously excluded.
Just then, Whis said, "Then let's set off! Universe 6 is ready and waiting."
As he spoke, Whis waved his staff and enveloped Ye Ming, Beerus, and the others. They soared into the sky and set off for Universe 6.
As they flew, Ye Ming and the others discussed their strategy. The order in which they fought would be crucial, and they needed to learn how their opponents fought. After all, to win a hundred battles, you had to know both yourself and your enemy.
There was something very strange. Whis should have been able to use his staff to read all the information about Universe 6's contestants, but there was one person he couldn't find no matter how hard he tried.
Ye Ming exchanged a glance with Whis. They both knew something unexpected might happen. This person might be the one who'd been making Ye Ming feel uneasy.
Whis said calmly, "Perhaps my older sister, Vados, has blocked that person's information. I can only read the details of the other three."
Ye Ming replied seriously, "It's fine, Whis. Knowing about three of them is already a big help. I'll deal with the last one. No matter how strong he is, I'm confident I won't lose!"
"Over these past three months, I've had a faint sense of danger. But after my strength broke through, that feeling gradually weakened. That means I can still stand against him."
Whis heard Ye Ming's words. If even Ye Ming felt threatened, then this opponent had to be something else. After all, Ye Ming had once possessed the strength of a top-tier God of Destruction, and now he'd surpassed them!
Hearing Whis and Ye Ming's conversation, Son Goku and the others grew a little more solemn.
Soon, they decided on the order. Son Gohan would fight first, while Son Goku and Vegeta's positions would be decided later. Ye Ming would definitely be saved for last.
They needed to decide the order based on what they knew about their opponents. They'd learned that Universe 6 had a formidable fighter called Hit the Assassin, who could use an ability called "Time Skip."
Son Goku and the others listened attentively as Whis told them what he knew. They learned about Hit's abilities and the strength of the other two contestants.
What surprised them even more was that one of the fighters, a woman named Kale, was a Legendary Super Saiyan. Even Vegeta and the others were taken aback.
Legendary Super Saiyans appeared only once in a thousand years. Even Vegeta and the others had to take her seriously; it seemed none of their opponents would be easy to deal with.
Ye Ming also knew that Universe 6 had a female Legendary Super Saiyan named Kale. From what he could tell, she'd learned to control her power thanks to a deity's guidance.
In the original anime, their strength had nowhere near reached this level. It seemed the timeline had changed because of his arrival.
Ye Ming felt that his presence had accelerated the changes in every universe. Unknown figures had appeared, and others had reached levels of power that they weren't supposed to attain until the future.
Soon, time passed, and a brilliant light descended on the viewing platform Universe 6 had prepared for Universe 7.
Champa opened his small eyes and smiled. "You're finally here. Hehe."
The warriors from Universe 7 looked around when they arrived. Besides two viewing platforms and an arena, there were also two enormous portraits of the Gods of Destruction: one of Beerus and the other of Champa.
Son Goku nearly laughed when he saw Beerus and Champa's portraits, but Vegeta suddenly covered his mouth.
Ye Ming simply smiled and said nothing. He knew a thing or two about Beerus and Champa's habits. They always had to add a little flair to their entrances.
At that moment, Beerus and Champa appeared in the air above the center of the arena, facing each other.
Beerus said, "Why are there only three people from your universe? Where's the last one?"
Champa replied disdainfully, "He'll show up once you've defeated all three of our fighters."
Beerus's veins bulged, and he frowned, about to fly into a rage at Champa.
Then Ye Ming said, "Lord Beerus, it's fine. If they want to send out only three fighters first, so be it. The last one will definitely appear once those three are defeated. There's no need to rush."
Beerus turned back toward Champa and said, "Hmph! You fat pig. Let's see how long you can keep gloating."
Then Beerus quickly returned to his viewing platform and folded his arms.
Champa returned to his own viewing platform and quietly asked Vados, "How did Son Goku's training go?"
"Everything went smoothly, Lord Champa! He's gained an initial grasp of the Hakai Energy you gave him the method to train. He can even stack the Hakai Form on top of his Super Saiyan 5 God form. He's been training his body this whole time," Vados said with a smile.
Hearing this, Champa seemed to think victory was already in his grasp.
He thought, Ye Ming may be strong, but he shouldn't be as strong as my Son Goku. After all, I've seen Ye Ming transform. Although his strength has improved in a short time, he should still be no match for my Son Goku.
Three months earlier, he'd shown AF Son Goku footage of the battle between Beerus and Ye Ming. AF Son Goku had acknowledged Ye Ming's strength and become very interested in him.
But AF Son Goku had told Lord Champa, "If that's the full extent of his power, I can defeat him."
