• Space is considerably more stable than in the Dou Qi Continent: only cultivators at or above the fifth grade of the Supreme Realm can wield Space Power, travel through space, or tear it apart 418.

• The Firmament List embodies the Great Thousand World's Will and holds supreme authority over the realm 685.
• A cultivator who reaches the limit of the Heavenly Supreme path may leave their name upon it, gain command of World Power, and become equivalent to the Heavenly Dao 536.
• Yao Yan's attempt to control the Firmament List provoked heavenly tribulation and the Great Thousand World's rejection, demonstrating the world's resistance toward threats to its authority 646 652.

History

Ancient War

The Great Thousand World suffered an ancient invasion by the Extraterritorial Evil Clan that swept across both the realm and its Lower Planes. The conflict was severe enough that even the Dou Dis of the Dou Qi Continent were conscripted to fight 419.

Five of the Ten Great Original Dharma Bodies were shattered during this war, and their owners died defending their homeland. Half of the Great Thousand World was said to have fallen in the conflict 588 621. The peace that followed was bought through the Immortal Great Emperor's sacrifice, while the Great Thousand Palace remained at Saint Abyss Continent to guard against another invasion 523 528.

Arrival of the Heavenly Court and Underworld

The Underworld entered the realm through Gathering Spirit Continent, defeated local Supreme Realm experts, and chose the continent as the base for its expansion 507.

Yao Yan later tore open the spatial barrier and forcibly brought the Dou Qi Continent and Tianxuan Continent into the Great Thousand World. The act caused enormous spatial disturbances, introduced the two continents to spiritual qi, and drew punishment from the world's rules 510 511. He subsequently merged both continents into Tianluo Continent, establishing the Heavenly Court at its center 538.

Reestablishment of the Underworld

The Underworld fully infiltrated Gathering Spirit Continent, resurrected the Gathering Spirit Clan's old ancestor, and used the continent's artifact-refining knowledge to forge Gathering Spirit Bowls from the soul essences of Heavenly Supremes and Extraterritorial Evil Clan members 547.

Its later seizure of the Origin of Divine Beasts allowed the Nether Lord to drag that realm into the Great Thousand World, announce the Underworld's reestablishment, and begin forging the Six Paths of Reincarnation 665.

Holy War and Final Battle

The Nether Lord openly challenged the Heavenly Emperor while the Extraterritorial Evil Clan launched a full invasion from every direction. The Great Thousand Palace activated its Defense Spirit Array and Great Thousand Pavilions to reinforce the battlefield 666 667.

As the war escalated, the Firmament List was contested by the Heavenly Emperor, Heavenly Evil God, and Nether Lord. Their struggle divided the list into three portions and made their conflict the deciding battle for the world's authority 685.

Heavenly Evil God's self-destruction damaged the Great Thousand World's Heaven and Earth Rules. Lin Dong later used World Power to purify the contaminated territory, while Yao Yan intended to replenish the realm by fusing the origins of defeated enemies and the Underworld into it 687.

Present Era

• Heaven and Earth spiritual qi became increasingly pure and abundant over subsequent centuries, producing a new age of cultivation and attracting talented ascendants from Lower Planes 687.
• The God Path was established for Saint Grade Heavenly Supremes unable to enter the Divine Realm. Those who entered the reshaped Firmament List became gods responsible for maintaining the order of assigned regions 687.
• The Heavenly Court remains suspended above the Great Thousand World, ruling the realm while other factions continue to compete for territory and resources 687.
