The shrine in the old Uchiha grounds lay shrouded in twilight. The rotting wooden doors creaked as the wind battered them. "Uchiha Itachi, give up," said the masked figure marked with "Wind." The voice had been altered, its mechanical chill ringing through the shrine. "Lord Obito gave his orders long ago. If you insist on investigating the stone tablet's secrets, you're to be killed on the spot."

The Kunai in Itachi's hand turned slightly as chakra gathered at his fingertips. "The answers I want are on that tablet. You can't stop me." All three formed Hand Seals at once, and chakra of three different natures converged at the shrine's center, forming a massive energy sphere that hurtled toward the tablet.

"Not a chance!" Su Ye and Itachi shouted in unison. Su Ye used Heavenly Hand Power to teleport the tablet behind himself, then unleashed Samsara: Banshō Ten'in, forcibly pulling the energy sphere toward him. Itachi summoned Susanoo. A pale red skeletal arm emerged from behind Su Ye, joining with his Rinnegan chakra to form a double barrier.

He looked at Su Ye, his voice edged with a plea. "Help me, Su Ye. I know you can fight Obito. If you'll protect Sasuke, I'll pay any price."

Su Ye fell silent for a moment, then turned his Rinne Sharingan toward the stone tablet. "Obito's target isn't just you. He wants the secrets on this tablet, too.
