Characteristics
- Environment: Ethereal cloud seas, towering divine palaces, and Immortal Spiritual Qi so dense that it appears almost solid 270.
- Cultivation resources: Its Immortal Spiritual Qi is denser than that of the lower realm. Xia Ming absorbs it after ascending and rapidly approaches full God King cultivation 258 261.
- Time flow: One day in the God Realm corresponds to one year on the Douluo Continent 270.
- Separation from lower realms: Dimensional barriers separate it from the Douluo Plane, but divine consciousness and connected channels can cross those boundaries 120 233 258.
- Limited capacity: Before Xia Ming’s reforms, its God Positions are full, preventing additional promising individuals from obtaining positions 273.
Governance
God Realm Hub
The God Realm Hub carries control authority over the realm. Its misuse becomes a central charge against Tang San, while its eventual transfer establishes Xia Ming’s leadership 138 273.
| Controller | Documented actions |
|---|---|
| Tang San | Uses his authority to obscure other deities’ perception of Douluo Planet and monopolize its path to godhood 62 63. |
| God of Destruction | Takes the Hub from Tang San and later transfers its control authority to Xia Ming 273. |
| Xia Ming | Assumes control after defeating Tang San and Zhou Weiqing; commits to expansion and additional God Positions 273. |
Committee and Enforcement
- God Realm Committee: Oversees divine conduct; Tang San anticipates its scrutiny if he openly descends to attack the Qilin God King’s remnant soul 120.
- God of Destruction: Leads the response to Tang San’s unauthorized interference and abuse of the Hub, supported by the Goddess of Life and ancient deities 138 139.
- Punishment: Tang San receives a ten-thousand-year sentence in the Forbidden God Land for his violations 139.
- Enforcement limits: The God of Destruction hesitates to kill Tang San because he cannot guarantee preservation of the Asura God Position, whose loss would severely weaken the realm 260.
Laws and Restrictions
Interference with Lower Realms
- Deities must not interfere with lower realms at will, especially by descending in their true forms 120.
- The God of Destruction and Goddess of Life decline to assist directly with the Qilin inheritance trial, choosing instead to watch its successor 63.
- Tang San circumvents direct intervention by contacting Ye Xishui and using the fragmented Rakshasa God authority to empower her 120 121.
Beast Ascension Shackle
The Silver Dragon King initially attributes the prohibition on beast ascension to the God Realm Hub. She also identifies it as the source of the recurring hundred-thousand-year Heavenly Tribulations 97.
The Qilin God King disputes that account, explaining that the restriction already existed before the Dragon God’s fall. The God of Destruction later reveals that the Dragon God imposed it himself, rather than the God Realm adopting it out of prejudice against beasts 97 139.
- Effect: Blocks soul beasts from attaining godhood through their own cultivation, regardless of strength or bloodline 97 273.
- Nature: A law-bound shackle carrying the Dragon God’s origin power and suppressing the beast race’s path to godhood 273.
- Resistance: Even the Qilin God King at his peak could not break it; the five great God Kings together would also have struggled 273.
- Removal: Xia Ming tears it apart after taking control of the Hub. Soul beasts gain the qualification to become gods, but do not become gods immediately 273.
Divine Hierarchy
| Rank / Position | Documented examples and distinctions |
|---|---|
| Supreme God King | The Dragon God’s former standing; Xia Ming’s strengthened Qilin God Position reaches a comparable height after integrating the Golden and Silver Dragon Kings’ origins 269 274. |
| God King | Before Xia Ming’s arrival, the five principal positions are Asura, Destruction, Life, Goodness, and Evil 252 259. |
| First-Class God | Includes the Sea God, God of Emotion, God of Love, and Zhou Weiqing’s God of Destruction position. Position rank does not guarantee equal combat strength 139 231 252 271. |
| Second-Class God | Oscar’s Food God and Ning Rongrong’s Nine-Colored Goddess are support-type deities 233 263. |
| God Official | Er Ming possesses a complete God Position and divine authority, distinguishing him fundamentally from mortal Beast Lords 170. |
Rank and Combat Strength
- Rong Nianbing: Holds a First-Class position but displays power comparable to a true God King, forcing the Golden Dragon King’s scouting consciousness to flee 252.
- Goddess of Life: Provides God King-level healing and amplification, allowing the God of Destruction to sustain pressure against the Golden Dragon King 263.
- Ji Dong and Lie Yan: Their individual cultivation falls below Tang San’s, but their fusion skill blocks the Golden Dragon King’s escape 263.
- Super Divine Tools: Extremely rare weapons capable of substantially increasing God King-level combat power and influencing divine wars 254.
Notable Locations
| Location | Significance |
|---|---|
| Forbidden God Land | Holds the sealed Golden Dragon King and later Tang San. Ning Rongrong is also imprisoned there 139 251 253. |
| Sea God Palace | Tang San’s residence and the site of the God of Destruction’s confrontation over his violations 63 138. |
| Food God Temple | Target of Xia Ming’s cross-plane strikes against Oscar and Ning Rongrong 233. |
| Temple of Emotion | Rong Nianbing senses the unfamiliar divine power erupting from the Food God Temple while seeking a successor 233. |
Background and History
During the Dragon God era, the realm possessed numerous human and beast God Kings. The Nine Great Dragon Kings were themselves God King-level combatants, making that period substantially stronger than the later order 252.
The Dragon God’s rampage devastated the divine community and nearly killed his ally, the Qilin God King. The wounded Qilin fled to the lower realm and left an inheritance after his injuries proved incurable 62 235.
The later succession of the Asura, Goodness, and Evil positions weakened the realm because their new holders had not reached their predecessors’ cultivation. Rong Nianbing’s arrival as a self-created deity did not fully compensate for that loss 259.
Major Events
Qilin Inheritance and Tang San’s Imprisonment
The Qilin inheritance announces itself with pressure reaching the God Realm. Tang San fails to conceal it, allowing ancient deities to recognize their former benefactor. Destruction and Life reject his proposal to suppress the Beast God inheritance 63.
Tang San’s subsequent interference culminates in Er Ming’s attack on Xia Ming. The God of Destruction intervenes and confronts Tang San, leading to the exposure of his misconduct and imprisonment 138 139.
Cross-Plane Attack
Xia Ming’s attacks travel through a connection to the Food God Temple, alarming the gods with unfamiliar First-Class divine power. The God of Destruction investigates and destroys the channel from the God Realm side 233 235.
Rong Nianbing later recalls that Oscar died and Ning Rongrong was imprisoned following the incident 253.
Ascension and Divine Conflict
After Xia Ming ascends, Tang San releases the Golden Dragon King to occupy the gods while he attacks the new Qilin deity. Rong Nianbing intercepts Zhou Weiqing to prevent him from assisting Tang San 259 260.
Destruction, Life, Ji Dong, Lie Yan, and several First-Class Gods besiege the Golden Dragon King. Meanwhile, Xia Ming overwhelms Tang San, ultimately destroying both his body and divine soul 263 271.
Xia Ming’s Reforms
Following Zhou Weiqing’s defeat, Xia Ming claims control of the Hub. The God of Destruction hands it over after securing his commitment to expand the realm. The surviving gods begin repairing the battle damage, while Xia Ming removes the beast ascension shackle 273.
By the finale, Xia Ming has expanded the God Realm and plans to confront the divine star. The Snow Empress inherits the Ice God Position, while the resurrected Electrolux chooses to forge his own position rather than accept an existing one 276.
