Background / History

Sasuke believed himself to be the sole survivor of the Uchiha clan-extermination night until meeting Uchiha Qiuyang. After confirming Qiuyang's heritage through his Sharingan, Sasuke accepts him as a fellow clansman and tells him to seek Sasuke out if necessary. 21

His drive for revenge becomes increasingly tied to his frustration at his own weakness. After Itachi humiliates him and Naruto's Rasengan overpowers his Chidori, the Sound Four defeat and degrade Sasuke inside Konoha, pushing him toward Orochimaru's offer of power. 26

At the Valley of the End, Sasuke refuses to remain in Konoha and entrusts Qiuyang with reviving the Uchiha clan while he pursues vengeance against Itachi. He then defects to Orochimaru. 28

Years later, Sasuke has developed into a capable Three-Tomoe Sharingan user under Orochimaru.
