Xing Tian disappeared after the death of Martial Soul Hall's Nuoding City branch-hall master. A month later, he arrived at Ye Mansion in Heaven Dou City, where Ye Renxin arranged for Dugu Bo to assist with his unstable Mantis Martial Soul. Xing Tian deliberately kept some of his abilities hidden while seeking to cultivate safely under the Ye family's protection 5.

Before arriving at Ye Mansion, Xing Tian had been a child with the Radiant Mantis martial soul. Tang Hao attacked him while he was in Beast Martial Soul Possession, shattered his martial soul, and left him close to death.
