A month later, he arrived at Ye Mansion in Heaven Dou City, where Ye Renxin arranged for Dugu Bo to assist with his unstable Mantis Martial Soul. Xing Tian deliberately kept some of his abilities hidden while seeking to cultivate safely under the Ye family's protection 5.

In the Sunset Forest, Dugu Bo used him as bait to draw out the Dark Night Fierce Mantis. Xing Tian killed the top-tier thousand-year soul beast with the Nine Deaths White Bone Claw and related techniques despite having only level-ten Soul Power, then absorbed its Soul Ring.
