Background / History

The Thunder Hell Vine initially appeared to be an ordinary Thunder-Clap Grass Martial Soul with only faint electrical arcs. During a thunderstorm, it stretched toward the sky and absorbed stray lightning as though starved, completing a secondary awakening into its true form. The awakening transformed Lin Mo's weak Level 3 Innate Soul Power into Innate Full Soul Power and established its defining ability to feed on thunder. 1

Its nature combines plant and lightning attributes. Although lightning is its auxiliary attribute, its foundation remains that of a vine-type plant Martial Soul; Lin Mo later considers strengthening its plant essence and vine toughness as important as seeking lightning-attribute soul rings. 12 62

At Plant Academy, Lin Mo concealed the Martial Soul's true identity by presenting it as Thunder-Clap Grass, an ordinary vine Martial Soul with a slight lightning attribute. This allowed him to train in secret, using Weather Manipulation to create thunderstorms and draw down lightning for cultivation. 12 23
