Lin Mo was an eight-year-old orphan at Nuoding Academy when his Thunder-Clap Grass Martial Soul revealed its true nature as the Thunder Hell Vine. During a thunderstorm, he used heavenly lightning to complete a secondary awakening, elevating himself from level-three Innate Soul Power to Postnatal Full Soul Power and drastically improving his physique and cultivation speed 1 2.

Yu Xiaogang attempted to recruit Lin Mo as a disciple after noticing his sudden advancement. Lin Mo refused, arguing that the Grandmaster's theory could not properly guide his exceptional Martial Soul.
