Background / History

Yuanen Yehui awakened the Fallen Angel martial soul, which society classifies as an Evil Martial Soul. Her mother possessed the same martial soul and died tragically; afterward, her father fell into despair, while other relatives treated Yuanen as an omen of disaster. These experiences taught her to hide her power behind isolation, coldness, and distrust. 24

Within the Spirit Ascension Platform, where she could use her Fallen Angel openly, Yuanen was ambushed by a three-thousand-year Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bear. She exhausted most of her strength with Wrath of the Fallen Angel but could not defeat it. Luo Yang and his Golden-Haired Lion Mastiff Emperor saved her before the bear could kill her. 22

Luo Yang initially provoked her by revealing that he knew the secret of her Fallen Angel martial soul, pushing her into a defensive rage. He then revealed his own Undead Scourge martial soul and sincerely argued that power itself was neither good nor evil. Yuanen cautiously accepted his offer of friendship and explored the platform alongside him. 23 24

After leaving the platform, Yuanen was introduced to Leng Yaozhu. Rather than condemning her Fallen Angel, Leng recognized its power and offered to teach her how to control it. Yuanen accepted and became Leng Yaozhu's disciple, gaining a home and protection within the Spirit Pagoda. 25 28
