Kushina, Are You Really Coming to Sleep With Me?

Shin and Kushina arrived at school just in time to avoid being late.

However, there were indeed those who were late, and that was Nawaki. Under Shin's gloating gaze, poor Nawaki was sent outside to stand as punishment.

"Hmm, why didn't Uzumaki Akiko come?"

Shin scanned the classroom and realized that Uzumaki Akiko was actually absent.

"Shin, what are you thinking about?"

Mikoto looked at the distracted Shin and asked curiously.

"I'm just curious why Uzumaki Akiko didn't come."

Kushina, who had been sleepy, instantly shook off her drowsiness and stared at Shin with burning eyes.

"Shin, you wouldn't happen to have any ideas about Akiko, would you?" Kushina looked at Shin with a "kind" gaze.

"Kushina, your eyes are truly terrifying," Mikoto said, covering her mouth with a light laugh.

"I don't have any interest in Uzumaki Akiko; I'm just curious."

Shin said, feeling slightly speechless. What interest could he possibly have in a little girl? Sorry, but he wasn't a pervert.

Besides, Uzumaki Akiko's looks couldn't compare to Kushina or Mikoto at all.

"First, I have something to tell everyone regarding classmate Uzumaki Akiko. I believe many of you are concerned about why she didn't come today."

Teacher Tanaka stood on the podium and spoke.

"Actually, Uzumaki Akiko asked for leave this morning, and I'm afraid she won't be able to come to school for a while."

Teacher Tanaka's words left Shin deep in thought, and he began to form some guesses in his heart.

After class, Shin walked up to Uzumaki Kai and asked, "Uzumaki Kai, you live with Uzumaki Akiko, so you should know why she didn't come, right?"

"Why should I tell you?"

Uzumaki Kai glanced at Shin and said indignantly.

Why should he tell him just because he asked? Who did he think he was?

"That's a good question. Will this suffice as a reason?" Shin raised his hand and pressed it onto Uzumaki Kai's shoulder.

Cold sweat instantly broke out on Uzumaki Kai's forehead; it felt as if the bones in his shoulder were about to be crushed.

For the sake of his pride, Uzumaki Kai didn't scream out in pain, but he quickly conceded.

"Akiko was called away early this morning. It seems she went to see Lady Uzumaki Mito."

"Thank you for letting me know." Shin smiled slightly, withdrew his hand, and returned to his seat, feeling his suspicions confirmed.

Shin guessed that Uzumaki Akiko had likely been chosen as the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki. Although he didn't know why it was her, this was a good thing for both him and Kushina.

Becoming a Jinchuriki was not a blessing; not everyone could be like Uzumaki Naruto and earn the Nine-Tails' recognition.

"Shin, I've never seen you care about Uzumaki Akiko before. Why are you concerned about her now?"

After Shin returned to his seat, Kushina asked him.

Although Kushina understood that Shin likely didn't have any romantic feelings for Uzumaki Akiko, she couldn't help but feel a bit jealous.

"Because this is very important to us," Shin said.

If he and Kushina had been the ones chosen to be the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, Shin would have had to find a way to decline.

Now, at least, he didn't have to go through that trouble.

Uzumaki Akiko taking leave meant she was definitely going to receive instruction from Uzumaki Mito. Becoming a Jinchuriki wasn't simple; it required rigorous training.

After school, Shin and the others received notice that they didn't need to go to Uzumaki Mito's place for lessons for the time being.

Shin had already guessed this would happen, so he wasn't disappointed; besides, he had already learned everything he needed to.

Shin closed his eyes, and instantly, everything in the vicinity appeared in his mind, his perception of chakra becoming exceptionally sensitive.

That's right, Shin had already mastered the Mind's Eye of the Kagura. It was a secret technique that only the Uzumaki clan could learn, taught to him by Uzumaki Mito.

She hadn't just taught it to Shin; Uzumaki Mito hadn't been stingy and had taught it to everyone else as well.

Shin continued to use the Mind's Eye of the Kagura until, after an hour of continuous use, he opened his eyes with a trace of fatigue in them.

It was mental exhaustion; while the chakra consumption of using the Mind's Eye of the Kagura was secondary, the drain on his mental energy was the greatest, especially during prolonged use.

However, doing this had its benefits, namely that it could slowly increase Shin's mental energy, which was one of the methods Shin had found to strengthen it.

The remaining method was to rely on the system's Copy Card to copy the ocular power of the Uchiha clan.

"It seems Tsunade isn't coming back, let's eat."

Shin walked out of his room and said to Kushina.

"I've been waiting for you for ages, I'm practically starving to death." Kushina's listless appearance made Shin find it somewhat amusing.

Afterward, Shin prepared dinner. The meal was very sumptuous; since he had money, why should he wrong himself?

After finishing dinner, Shin trained his taijutsu and swordsmanship at the training ground, then dispelled his Shadow Clone to receive the memories of the clone he had secretly sent out to practice ninjutsu.

Shin sorted through the knowledge in his mind, refined his chakra for an hour, and then took a shower to prepare for bed.

However, just as Shin lay down, his bedroom door was pushed open, and Kushina walked in carrying a quilt.

Shin looked at Kushina, who had barged into his room, and couldn't help but freeze, staring at her with a face full of question marks.

"Kushina, what are you doing coming into my room instead of sleeping?"

"Did you forget what you said this morning? From now on we sleep together, and you even agreed. What, are you trying to go back on your word?"

Kushina looked at Shin "fiercely," though Shin didn't see any ferocity, only cuteness—the kind of fierce-cute that was adorable.

"Kushina, are you really coming to sleep with me?" Shin couldn't help but ask in astonishment.

"Yeah, don't tell me you're trying to welsh on the deal? Besides, it's not like we haven't slept together before."

As she spoke, Kushina climbed onto the tatami, lay down beside Shin, wrapped her arms around him, and naturally rested her head on his body.

"That was when we were too young. Don't you feel uncomfortable now, Kushina?"

Inhaling the fragrance emanating from Kushina, Shin couldn't help but say.

"Not at all, I feel very comfortable sleeping with you, Xiao Yu!"

As she spoke, Kushina even rubbed against Shin's chest comfortably.

Since Kushina had already said as much, Shin would be a fool and an idiot if he said anything else.

"Then let's rest, but be well-behaved when you sleep and don't move around." Shin whispered to Kushina.

"Oh, are you looking down on me, Xiao Yu?"

Kushina pouted. Even in the darkness, illuminated by the moonlight, Shin could see her pouting lips.

"Even if I looked down on anyone, I wouldn't look down on you. Get some good rest."

Shin pinched Kushina's cheek, then held her like a human pillow and closed his eyes.

Being held by Shin, Kushina also felt very comfortable and secure in his arms, and she soon fell into a sweet sleep.
