Early the next morning, Shin rose early, washed up, and headed to the training grounds to begin his workout.
He focused solely on taijutsu and kenjutsu, leaving ninjutsu training aside for the moment.
Well, he wasn't training it here; in reality, he had long since created several shadow clones and sent them to a secluded area of Konoha to practice his ninjutsu.
Once a shadow clone is dispelled, its memories and experience return to the original body, making shadow clones an excellent tool for practicing ninjutsu.
"Three-Tomoe Sharingan, activate."
Shin whispered, his eyes instantly turning blood-red as three tomoe slowly rotated within them.
Still just a Three-Tomoe Sharingan. I wonder when it will finally evolve into a Mangekyou Sharingan.
Shin muttered to himself, feeling a bit troubled.
Over the past year or so, Shin had used the three Common Copy Card items in his possession, all to copy the ocular power of the Three-Tomoe Sharingan from Uchiha clan jonin.
Furthermore, Shin discovered that he could copy the same ability from the same person multiple times.
All three copies were taken from the Three-Tomoe Sharingan ocular power of Uchiha Ryota, the very same guy from whom Shin had first copied his ocular power.
These three copies had indeed significantly boosted Shin's ocular power; even the true elite ninjas of the Uchiha clan likely couldn't compare to him in that regard.
However, Shin's Sharingan still hadn't evolved into a Mangekyou Sharingan, which left him somewhat disappointed.
Did he really have to copy a Mangekyou Sharingan? Copying one was actually possible; Shin had asked the system, and an Advanced Copy Card could indeed copy a Mangekyou Sharingan. Shin had two Advanced Copy Card items.
One he had obtained from completing a mission, and the other was a gift from the system when it granted a copy card every year—he'd been lucky enough to receive an Advanced Copy Card.
He had the Advanced Copy Card, but where was he supposed to find someone to copy from?
Did anyone in the Uchiha clan actually possess a Mangekyou Sharingan right now?
Shin couldn't say for sure, but even if they did, he had no way of making contact with them.
In truth, the Three-Tomoe Sharingan was quite practical—it provided dynamic vision, allowed him to copy simple ninjutsu and taijutsu, and enabled the use of Sharingan genjutsu.
But compared to the Mangekyou Sharingan, the gap was truly significant. Shin felt it was better not to dwell on it.
He deactivated his Three-Tomoe Sharingan; he couldn't let Tsunade see it, or who knew what kind of trouble that might stir up.
After training for a while, Shin went back to prepare breakfast. Neither Kushina nor Tsunade were the type to handle such chores.
"Yo, Shin, you're up early as always."
Tsunade had just woken up and couldn't help but smile when she saw Shin had already prepared breakfast.
"Not bad. It's great having someone to make breakfast. Thinking back, I never used to eat breakfast at all."
"That's exactly why you're underdeveloped." Shin glanced toward a certain part of Tsunade's anatomy.
Could his arrival in this world be the reason Tsunade turned out to be a "flat-chested princess"? Thinking about it, that was a truly cruel thought.
Noticing Shin's sympathetic gaze, Tsunade's face darkened.
"Do you want to taste my fist?"
"I'm going to go wake up Kushina." Shin used an excuse to slip away.
"Hmph!"
Tsunade let out a cold snort, then looked down at her chest, thinking it did seem a bit regrettable.
"Damn brat, I haven't finished growing yet." Tsunade sat down, annoyed, and began eating the breakfast Shin had prepared.
If Shin had heard Tsunade's words, he would surely have felt nothing but contempt. She was already seventeen; in the early-maturing Naruto World, she was long since an adult.
Arriving at Kushina's room, Shin was left speechless by the mess inside.
It had only been two days since he last visited, and her room was already in such disarray again.
Unlike the tidy rooms of other girls, Kushina's room was chaotic, which made it clear that she wasn't exactly a refined person when it came to her daily life.
"Kushina, get up already." Shin patted Kushina, and looking at her sleeping posture, he found it truly indescribable.
"Mmm, I'm so sleepy, let me sleep a little longer."
Kushina didn't open her eyes; she wrapped her arms around Shin, who was trying to wake her, and acted spoiled.
"It's already quite late. If you keep lazing in bed, you're going to be late for school."
"No, I don't want to get up."
Kushina rubbed her little head against Shin, and feeling comfortable holding him, she was even less inclined to rise.
"This feels so good. Shin, how about you let me sleep holding you like this from now on?"
"Sure, as long as you don't mind. I'm the one getting the better end of the deal anyway," Shin said with a smile.
Cuddling with Kushina to sleep would probably be just like hugging a soft, squishy pillow; it should be quite comfortable.
"I don't mind, we can sleep together from now on," Kushina said, opening her eyes to look at Shin.
"Alright, let's get up and have breakfast first, otherwise Tsunade will eat it all."
"But I'm so sleepy," Kushina said, rubbing her eyes. She hadn't slept enough because she had been training for a long time last night.
"Were you refining chakra? Don't push yourself so hard to refine chakra in the future; overloading yourself won't do you any good," Shin said to Kushina with a serious expression.
"Besides, having more chakra doesn't necessarily mean you're stronger. Combat power involves many factors; having chakra alone without knowing ninjutsu is useless."
"I already know ninjutsu, like the Rasengan, the Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique, and the Shadow Clone Technique."
Kushina counted the ninjutsu she knew, which were also the ones Shin knew; he had basically taught her all the ninjutsu he had mastered.
"You aren't proficient in using them yet, so you should focus on mastering your ninjutsu instead of rushing to refine chakra for now."
Shin pulled Kushina up.
"Wait, can you go out first? I, I need to change my clothes," Kushina said, shy and embarrassed.
Kushina could be carefree in other situations, but when it came to changing clothes, she certainly couldn't do it in front of Shin.
"Fine."
Shin walked out of Kushina's room, but upon returning, he discovered that Tsunade had already eaten more than half of the breakfast.
"You really can eat, can't you?"
Shin couldn't help but retort. It seemed he would have to prepare more, or there wouldn't be enough to go around.
"You don't seem to have the right to say that to me. I'm full, and I have things to do, so I'm leaving."
Tsunade reached out and pinched Shin's cheek before leaving.
Shin prepared some more breakfast, and after he and Kushina finished eating, they left home and headed toward the Ninja Academy.
"Aren't we bringing a bento?" Kushina asked Shin.
"Kushina, have you forgotten? Yesterday, Mikoto said she would help us make bento. Mikoto's cooking skills are much better than mine."
"Hmph, actually I can do it too. It's just a bento, right? I'll prepare one for you tomorrow."
Hearing Shin praise Mikoto's cooking, Kushina immediately grew jealous and huffed at him.
Shin's expression changed; Kushina wanted to prepare a bento for him.
"Kushina, let's just forget it. I don't want to end up at the Konoha Hospital, and I definitely don't want to end up in the Konoha Cemetery."
Kushina simply wasn't cut out for it; Shin wouldn't dare eat the food she made even if it killed him.
