The Copying of the Kurama Clan's Kekkei Genkai

"Tsunade, do you know about some of the Kekkei Genkai in Konoha?"

After waking up in the morning, Shin asked Tsunade while eating breakfast.

Tsunade gave Shin a puzzled look before replying, "Kekkei Genkai are extremely rare in the ninja world, and there aren't many ninjas in Konoha who possess them."

"Among them are the Sharingan of the Uchiha Clan, the Byakugan of the Hyuga Clan, the Sage Body of the Senju Clan, plus your Uzumaki Clan, and oh, lastly, there is also the Kurama Clan."

Upon hearing Tsunade mention the Kurama Clan, Shin's eyes suddenly lit up; he had truly forgotten about that clan.

Now, prompted by Tsunade's reminder, Shin recalled that this clan possessed a very powerful Kekkei Genkai: Five Senses Manipulation.

A genjutsu capable of manipulating the five senses and possessing the ability to make illusions become reality—this was practically the pinnacle of Yin Release.

Yin Release can create form out of nothingness, while Yang Release can infuse that form with life; Yin-Yang Release is a technique capable of creating life.

Shin didn't know if this Five Senses Manipulation could compare to the zanpakuto Kyōka Suigetsu of Aizen Sosuke from Bleach, but it certainly wouldn't be weak.

It probably wouldn't be as terrifying as Aizen Sosuke's Kyōka Suigetsu, otherwise, the Kurama Clan wouldn't still be a minor clan today.

If one could truly manipulate the five senses completely, dominating the ninja world wouldn't be impossible; the Kurama Clan's ability couldn't be that terrifying.

"Tsunade, do you know if there are any ninjas in the Kurama Clan who have awakened their Kekkei Genkai now?"

Shin asked Tsunade.

At this moment, Shin had already formed an idea: to copy this Kekkei Genkai.

Although the Kurama Clan possessed such a terrifying Kekkei Genkai, perhaps they couldn't unleash it at all due to their physical condition.

The Kurama Clan's physique was poor; they would be exhausted after training for a while, and their chakra reserves were likely low.

Chakra is refined from cells; if the body is weak, the chakra certainly won't be abundant, as a frail body simply doesn't allow for the refinement of much chakra.

"There used to be quite a few in the Kurama Clan who possessed the Kekkei Genkai, and they were once on par with our Senju Clan and the Uchiha Clan, but they have since declined into a minor clan. It seems there is only one person who has awakened the Kekkei Genkai now."

Although Tsunade didn't know why Shin was asking this, she still told him what she knew.

"As long as there is one, that's fine. I was afraid there wouldn't be any."

Shin breathed a sigh of relief; he was worried that no one in the Kurama Clan had awakened the Kekkei Genkai, in which case he would have had to wait for Kurama Yakumo to be born.

However, it might still be over a decade until Kurama Yakumo was born, and he didn't have time to wait.

Perhaps by then, he wouldn't even care for the Kurama Clan's Kekkei Genkai anymore.

"Shin, why are you asking about this?" Kushina asked curiously.

Mikoto and Tsunade were also very curious, their gazes fixed on Shin with questioning looks.

"I can't say; this is a secret."

Shin shook his head; some secrets couldn't be told just yet.

"Tsunade, do you know where that Kurama clansman who awakened the Kekkei Genkai is now?"

"He is in Konoha's Interrogation Department. Because of his super-strong genjutsu abilities, he serves as the department head."

In the Anbu's Interrogation Department, it would stand to reason that people from the Uchiha Clan would be very suitable, but the Third Hokage would never let the Uchiha Clan enter the Anbu.

"I want to meet that person; can you take me?" Shin asked Tsunade.

If it were just Shin, he truly wouldn't be able to see the head of the Interrogation Department, as the department was a branch of the Anbu.

Tsunade looked at Shin and finally nodded.

"You agreed? Aren't you going to ask me why?" Shin looked at Tsunade in surprise.

"If I asked you, would you tell me?"

Shin gave an awkward smile; he really couldn't tell Tsunade that.

"Let's go."

Tsunade took Shin and left; Kushina and Mikoto did not follow.

As a disciple of the Third Hokage, Tsunade couldn't enter the Interrogation Department at will, but calling out the department head, Kurama Fu, was no problem.

"Lord Tsunade, are you looking for me?"

Kurama Fu looked at Tsunade in surprise; he hadn't expected the princess of the Senju Clan to come looking for him, which left him feeling flattered.

One had to know that the Kurama Clan was no longer a major clan and had fallen into obscurity; to him, Tsunade was already a big shot.

Tsunade's gaze shifted to Shin; it wasn't she who had come to find Kurama Fu, but Shin, and she had no idea what he was planning to do.

"Hello, Jonin Kurama. I heard your genjutsu is very powerful; I wonder if you could teach me a thing or two." Shin said with a smile.

While speaking, Shin had already used the Advanced Copy Card on Kurama Fu, successfully copying his Five Senses Manipulation.

Upon completion of the copy, Shin felt his already formidable spiritual energy surge significantly, and even his ocular prowess increased, leaving his eyes with a tingling sensation.

Shin blinked a few times before that numbing feeling finally faded away.

Shin could sense that his Mangekyou Sharingan had undergone a change, though it had not yet evolved into the Eternal Mangekyou; it merely showed signs of doing so.

This left Shin unable to suppress his delight, as this was an entirely unexpected gain.

Kurama Fu looked at Shin with a troubled expression; Shin wanted to ask for his guidance, but Kurama Fu had no desire to provide it.

However, if he refused, would he offend Tsunade? After all, this boy was brought here by her, and she was standing right there.

Tsunade glanced at Shin in surprise. Possessing the Mangekyou Sharingan, why would he need to learn genjutsu from Kurama Fu? Tsunade knew Shin must have other motives.

"I apologize, but I'm afraid I don't have the time to instruct you," Kurama Fu said apologetically.

After weighing his options, Kurama Fu chose to refuse, then turned to Tsunade and said:

"Lady Tsunade is aware that the work at the Interrogation Department is quite demanding, so I simply don't have the time to tutor others."

Kurama Fu offered this explanation out of fear of offending Tsunade, as the current Kurama clan could not afford to cross her.

"Although it is a pity, since that is the case, then let it be," Shin said.

The so-called request for him to teach genjutsu was merely an excuse for Shin; after all, meeting Kurama Fu for no reason would have seemed suspicious, so he used it as a pretext.

Shin's only goal was Kurama Fu's Kekkei Genkai; the rest was irrelevant. Whether Kurama Fu agreed or refused, Shin did not care.

In fact, Shin was hoping for a refusal, as he had never once considered letting him teach him genjutsu.

"Tsunade, let's go," Shin said to Tsunade.

Tsunade glanced at Shin, still unable to fathom what he was up to, but since he suggested leaving, she departed with him.

Watching the backs of Shin and Tsunade as they left, Kurama Fu's eyes widened suddenly. Something felt wrong—why did Lady Tsunade seem like the little fellow's subordinate?

An illusion, it must be an illusion.

If Tsunade knew that Kurama Fu had thought of her as Shin's subordinate, she would likely turn around and punch him! His fragile body certainly wouldn't be able to withstand a punch from Tsunade.
