Xu Xiaoyan is the younger sister of Xu Xiaoyu and the daughter of Xu Tianyu and Murong Qing of Eastsea City's Xu Family. Her father arranged for her to enter Zero Class because of her high cultivation talent and mutated martial soul, despite her lack of combat experience and severe anxiety about whether she belonged among its exceptional students. 94

When she first meets Su Chen through Ouyang Zixin, she recognizes him as the person who defeated Xu Xiaoyu in the Spirit Ascension Platform four years earlier.
