Chapter Summaries

Annanu unleashed his Noble Phantasm against Tiamat, using a golden storm to sweep away the black mud beneath her and make her fall. He and Enkidu continued trying to delay the Beasts and weaken them before the battle moved to the Underworld beneath Uruk.

• Annanu approached Tiamat and gathered a golden storm, declaring nature’s hostility toward the Mother of Creation.
• Fujimaru Ritsuka and the others watched in shock as Annanu unleashed his Noble Phantasm, Enuma Elish, against Tiamat.
• Annanu’s storm pushed Tiamat back and swept away the black mud that supported her enormous body.
• Tiamat lost her footing and collapsed, shaking the land with her fall.
• Roman recognized that Annanu had targeted the mud to slow Tiamat, while Enkidu continued delaying Abzu in the Underworld as they prepared to move the battle beneath Uruk.

Annanu briefly delayed Tiamat and left to pursue other matters while Chaldea and Gilgamesh considered her advance on Uruk. Gilgamesh cleared the clouds with Uruk’s Divine Authority Seal, and Stheno asked Lemoni to take her along on the Elma.

• Annanu knocked Tiamat down long enough to buy time, then warned that she might develop other ways to move and left with Fujimaru Ritsuka and the others.
• Roman reported that Tiamat’s delay would be brief and that Chaldea had estimated her route, but Gilgamesh ended the communication before receiving the information.
• Gilgamesh ordered a soldier to fire the Divine Authority Seal, which shattered the dark clouds and let sunlight fall on Lemoni and the three goddesses.
• Stheno asked Lemoni why he had brought them to the wall, and he explained that he wanted her to enjoy the sunlight and fresh air.
• Stheno asked Lemoni to take her along to see more scenery, and he asked whether she was sure she wanted to board the Elma.

Lemoni and Stheno discussed the Elma and hurried to find Euryale and Medusa as Tiamat approached. Annanu recruited Quetzalcoatl for a plan to confront Tiamat, while Fujimaru Ritsuka and the others continued toward Uruk.

• Stheno told Lemoni that the Elma looked different to people of her era, then playfully pretended to fall from the city wall before urging him to find Euryale and Medusa.
• Annanu arrived to meet Quetzalcoatl and confirmed that Tiamat had awakened and was advancing toward Uruk.
• Annanu asked Quetzalcoatl to join her on Tiamat’s path and help carry out a plan, and Quetzalcoatl agreed with an excited grin.
• Jaguar Man recognized Quetzalcoatl’s ominous smile and worried about what would follow.
• Fujimaru Ritsuka rode toward Uruk with Mash and the others, then agreed to rest behind Mash during the journey.

Fujimaru Ritsuka and Mash approached Uruk as Tiamat advanced, while Gilgamesh planned to delay her and use Ishtar’s Noble Phantasm to send her and Abzu into the Underworld. Below, Enkidu and Ereshkigal tried to slow Abzu’s climb, but the enraged Father God kept breaking free.

• Fujimaru Ritsuka woke on Mash’s back and sensed Tiamat’s sorrow, joy, maternal nature, and terror as Uruk came into view.
• Gilgamesh studied Tiamat’s projected route and warned that the black mud beside her could produce demonic beasts, making Uruk’s coming trial worse.
• Gilgamesh ordered Ishtar to stay in Uruk and planned to delay Tiamat before pushing her and Abzu into the Underworld.
• Abzu transformed into a gigantic Dragon and broke Enkidu’s Chains of Heaven with his strength and magical energy.
• Enkidu and Ereshkigal used chains and altered terrain to slow Abzu, but he tore through their restraints and continued climbing.

After Tiamat’s condition worsened and demonic beasts began forming in the black mud around her, Gilgamesh sent teams out from Uruk to gather intelligence and reinforce the front. Zi Juan stayed behind despite questioning the order, and Gilgamesh hinted that his decision was connected to someone she knew.

• Ushiwakamaru and Zi Juan reported that demonic beasts were beginning to take shape around Tiamat, and Gilgamesh ordered a team led by Mordred to investigate while Lawrence supported them from farther back.
• Gilgamesh sent Fujimaru Ritsuka and Mash to the Demonic Beast Front and allowed Stheno, Euryale, and Anna to go there as well, while Ishtar and Zi Juan remained in Uruk.
• Lawrence gave each departing fighter a vial of gemstone potion, and Liao Ye left with the investigation team after saying farewell to Fujimaru Ritsuka, Zi Juan, and Mash.

Gilgamesh considered summoning Xiang An’s King Yama aspect as Fujimaru Ritsuka and the others passed through Uruk. At the Demonic Beast Front, Stheno and Euryale helped Anna face the possibility that she would become Medusa again, and Anna chose to fight for her sisters despite knowing she might lose.

• Gilgamesh reflected on Xiang An’s history and the King Yama aspect he and Annanu hoped to summon.
• Stheno and Euryale worried that Anna was under too much pressure and approached her at the Demonic Beast Front.
• Stheno and Euryale reminded Anna that they had chosen to face the coming battle together with her.
• Anna recalled her nightmare of becoming a monster, devouring her sisters, and turning into a serpent goddess.
• Anna resolved to become Medusa again and fight for her sisters, even if she was destined to lose.

Fujimaru Ritsuka and Mash warned the Demonic Beast Front commanders that Tiamat’s black-mud advance would bring a new wave of demonic beasts. Meanwhile, Annanu, Quetzalcoatl, and Jaguar Man flew toward Tiamat, whose approach they spotted.

• Fujimaru Ritsuka and Mash met Kurgarru, Galatur, and Adekate, and Ritsuka noticed that Kurgarru and Galatur had changed.
• Mash and Ritsuka mentioned meeting a strange old man named Zhu Su on their way through Uruk, then turned to the news from Gilgamesh.
• Mash showed the commanders documents explaining that black mud was demonic in nature and could assimilate those it touched.
• Mash told the commanders that Tiamat was advancing over black mud and demonic beasts had begun appearing beneath her, prompting Adekate to prepare the Demonic Beast Front.

Annanu, Quetzalcoatl, and Jaguar Man approached Tiamat as Ushiwakamaru’s group watched from a safe distance. Annanu gave Quetzalcoatl a segment of the Key of Heaven, and she stabbed it into her chest, gaining a huge surge of strength as their fight with Tiamat was about to begin.

• Annanu and Quetzalcoatl spotted Tiamat surrounded by black mud and flies, and Annanu planned to sweep them away before Quetzalcoatl attacked.
• Annanu sent Jaguar Man to meet the approaching group of Ushiwakamaru, Lawrence, Lemoni, Liao Ye, Musashibō Benkei, and Mordred.
• Jaguar Man warned that she could sense no death in Tiamat, while Lawrence told the others to stay back because Annanu’s Noble Phantasm could affect allies as well as enemies.

Annanu and Quetzalcoatl combined their Noble Phantasms to unleash a blazing storm against Tiamat, scorching away the black mud beneath her and destabilizing her. Tiamat remained standing, so Quetzalcoatl prepared to attack her directly with Xibalba.

• Annanu summoned Quetzalcoatl from Eridu to help strengthen his attack on Tiamat.
• Quetzalcoatl called down thunder and gathered solar fire while Annanu unleashed Enuma Elish.
• Quetzalcoatl cast Piedra Del Sol into Annanu's storm, turning it into a sun-hot firestorm that struck Tiamat and burned the Demonic Beasts.

Quetzalcoatl, Annanu, and Nanshe combined their Noble Phantasms to knock Tiamat down and stop the black mud from helping her rise again. With Tiamat still resisting, Liao Ye questioned whether the distant Servants should join the fight.

• Lemoni gave Quetzalcoatl a jewel potion, and she used its restored magical energy to unleash Flames That Even Burn the Gods against Tiamat.
• Annanu jumped down from the pterosaur and used [O Child of Man, Unseal the Key and Reach the Starry Plains](Enuma Elish) to trigger an earthquake beneath Tiamat.

After Tiamat survived the assault and revealed horn-wings that let her rise into the sky, Annanu led the others to retreat. Quetzalcoatl and Lawrence were struck by Tiamat, and Quetzalcoatl stayed behind until her Spirit Origin shattered and she vanished.

• Annanu brought Nanshe to the winged dragon as Tiamat began raising herself and her horns transformed into enormous wings.
• Tiamat surged black mud across the ground and began attempting to fly, while Annanu insisted they could still win later.

• Annanu gathered the group, and Zi Juan insisted on joining him as he took everyone toward the Demonic Beast Front aboard a ship formed from the Key of Heaven.

• Ishtar’s acknowledgment lifted Gilgamesh’s spirits, and he ordered Siduri to gather Uruk’s surviving citizens before the royal palace.
• Gilgamesh entered his chambers to await the moment when he would tell the citizens that Uruk would endure in human history.
• Liao Ye asked Musashibō Benkei how he felt about facing Tiamat, and Hitachibō Kaison trembled as he remembered that he was an impostor afraid of battle.

Gilgamesh rallied Uruk’s citizens and defenders as Tiamat’s Lahmu and other demonic beasts approached, declaring that Uruk would fall but its way of life would survive through Fujimaru Ritsuka. The defenders launched their opening attacks, and the chapter ended with Gilgamesh urging Uruk to pass its glory to future generations.

• Gilgamesh addressed Uruk’s citizens while Fujimaru Ritsuka warned the Demonic Beast Front that Lahmu and other demonic beasts were nearing.
• Lemoni and Nanshe prepared to attack the advancing horde, while Annanu and the Shields of Humanity gathered their strength.
• Gilgamesh declared that Uruk would perish, but Fujimaru Ritsuka used a Command Spell to empower Annanu and bring victory for humanity.
• Lemoni and Nanshe unleashed their Noble Phantasms, striking the demonic beasts with lightning and then washing away their black mud.

Annanu and the others charged into battle against Tiamat’s Demonic Beast horde, while Tiamat continued advancing toward Uruk. Annanu shielded himself from her eye attack and unleashed Arm of Babylon to stop her, but the battle remained dangerous.

As Tiamat’s Demonic Beasts overwhelmed the defenders, Stheno prepared to sacrifice her Spirit Origin so Medusa could become Gorgon and challenge the Mother Goddess. After kissing Lemoni, she told him to remember her and closed her eyes as Anna began to transform.

• Lemoni warned Stheno, Euryale, and Anna that Tiamat’s Demonic Beasts would soon overwhelm them despite the Key of Heaven.
• Stheno revealed that she and Euryale were meant to be consumed by Medusa so she could become Gorgon.
• Lemoni embraced Stheno and returned her kiss as they faced their impending separation.

Anna transformed into the enormous Avenger Servant Gorgon after devouring Stheno and Euryale, and joined the battle against Tiamat. She unleashed her Noble Phantasm, devastating the battlefield and striking Tiamat with overwhelming force.

• Gorgon compressed her magical energy with her hair and unleashed [Forced Seal: Pandemonium Cetus], destroying the Demonic Beasts and damaging Tiamat’s horn-wing.
• Tiamat’s horn-wing broke, and she fell to the ground as Gorgon used up her magical energy and vanished after wishing the others victory.
• Lemoni charged Tiamat and detonated the Golden Spear against her head, but Lahmu interrupted his attack.
• Lemoni destroyed the Lahmu with a barrage of explosions and resolved to add another chance of victory for Stheno.
