Background / History

Camilla is the twin sister of Queen Katera and a member of the dwindling Sea Cliff Bloodkin royal family. She was formerly the first heir of the Blood-Colored Royal Court and a candidate for the throne. Katera accused her of coveting the throne and colluding with outside enemies, defeated her in a clash of bloodline power, and had her restrained. 356

The sisters inherited exceptionally pure royal blood, but their mother fostered instability and rivalry between them, believing a future Blood Clan Queen needed ambition, cunning, and survival instinct. Camilla considers herself the less ambitious twin; as Katera grew more driven, their childhood closeness deteriorated into a distant, guarded relationship. 674

Katera eventually crippled Camilla’s Aspect Power and drove her from the Royal Court. After losing much of her strength, Camilla drifted alone across the Ice Sea before being rescued by fishermen near Windbreak Bay. She later entered Mage Alliance examinations and studies, eventually transferring to the Asura District under the appearance of a frail student. 483 675

During her months adrift, Camilla nearly fainted from hunger before a wave washed silverfish into her boat. Eating those fish raw became a vivid memory of her survival and left her with a lasting appreciation for Windbreak Bay’s silverfish dishes. 675

At school, Camilla concealed both her identity and Bloodkin traits. Her Secret Speech Aspect Power drew Sylutia’s attention because it appeared to derive from an unusual legend or anecdote rather than an ordinary knowledge framework. 390

Her bloodline began awakening inherited memories of Colevanti, the last restorer of the Blood Dynasty. Fearing that these memories would overwrite her identity—and suspecting Katera might already be influenced by the same inheritance—Camilla researched a Fifth Order potion to suppress her bloodline. Before she succeeded, Bloodkin pursuers forced her into the World of Shadows. 478 483

Sylutia and an Inquisition Hall team found Camilla asleep within a blood-colored cocoon. Sylutia entered her dream, helped her retain her sense of self through memories of their friendship, and taught her the forbidden Blood Law technique Pulse Counterflow. 486 491

To protect Camilla from investigation by the Inquisition Hall, Sylutia temporarily sealed and stripped away her royal bloodline. Camilla was later cleared of suspicion and returned to Glass Academy, where she rebuilt her strength through the Secret Speech path. 492 493 516

After her rescue, Camilla reconsidered Katera’s motives. She suspected that her sister had originally weakened and exiled her to reduce the inherited memories’ influence and prevent the emergence of two competing Colevantis. She distinguished that possible protective intention from the later attempt to bring her back, which she attributed to Colevanti’s influence. Camilla initially presents herself as timid, quiet, and physically fragile, particularly while attending school in the Asura District. A chance summer outing with Sylutia helps their relationship develop beyond ordinary classmates. Their conversation about distant homes and childhood memories quiets Camilla’s bloodlust, and sharing ice cream revives habits and emotions she associates with her own childhood. 414 415

Bloodkin Pursuit and the World of Shadows

After leaving Glass Academy to research a bloodline-suppression potion, Camilla is hunted by Bloodkin agents sent to return her to the Sea Cliff Royal Court. Her worsening inherited memories leave her vulnerable until Sylutia’s rescue team reaches her in the World of Shadows. 478 480 482 486

Recovery and New Path

Following her rescue, Camilla accepts the temporary sealing of her royal bloodline and rebuilds herself through Secret Speech and Origin Hourglass studies. Her recovery allows her to form a more open friendship with Sylutia, Aurora, and Lovier. 492 494 516

Camilla seals off the affected territory while Sylutia confirms the Grey Mud Plague and organizes initial treatment. When local medicine proves insufficient and the infection spreads to neighboring regions, Katera sends Camilla to accompany Sylutia to the Woodland Alliance in the Nightmare Carriage. 682

They return north with Dorothy and hundreds of Woodland relief workers, establishing treatment sites and organizing medicine production outside the sealed city. Over three months, Camilla and Sylutia help contain outbreaks in Mandrala and four neighboring territories; approximately three million people are infected and 600,000 die. 686

Anste Relief and the Mutated Creature

Camilla accompanies the Woodland support force to plague-stricken Anste, where she, Sylutia, and Dorothy organize treatment for infected residents. She then joins Sylutia in hunting a mutated creature threatening the area. 688

City of Star-Gazing Investigation

Camilla joins Sylutia, Oren, Luke, Anali, and Mick in searching the City of Star-Gazing for the Multi-Headed Worm organization’s underground base. She and Sylutia discover a 140-year-old report describing the sealing of the city’s underground palaces with earth-and-stone cement. 694
