Minato immediately chose to claim the reward, and a fruit with mysterious swirling patterns on its surface appeared in his palm.

In just half a day, Minato had already developed the Door-Door Fruit to the point where he could open doors in non-material substances.

This fruit was inexplicably and perfectly compatible with Minato Namikaze.

Originally, the Flying Thunder God technique could only teleport him to places where he had marked a seal in advance, or allow him to teleport by following a marked kunai in the second stage of the technique. There were still many limitations in combat.

Now, combined with the ability of the Door-Door Fruit to open doors at will, and utilizing the "bug" of opening doors in mid-air, he could make a kunai marked with the Flying Thunder God seal appear wherever he opened a door, allowing him to appear there as well. It was incredibly difficult to counter!

It could be said that the Door-Door Fruit compensated for the Flying Thunder God's weakness of requiring a fixed seal, while the Flying Thunder God compensated for the rigidity of having to physically enter and exit doors.

The range mentioned here referred to the maximum distance at which Minato could sense a Flying Thunder God seal, not the maximum automatic range of the technique itself.

Theoretically, the Flying Thunder God had no distance limit within the same space; as long as one had enough Chakra and a body that could withstand it, one could cross a planet. Minato could not yet achieve this.

However, the Door-Door Fruit had greatly compensated for his mobility at short-to-medium ranges.

The experiment concluded, and Minato had one more reward: a Main God Space Invitation (Rare). It could invite any being up to Tier 5 to the Main God Space, granting them the status of a standard Reincarnator.

It wasn't that Minato was being stingy and withholding it from Konoha, or that he hadn't considered inviting Kushina.

One reason was the high probability that Kushina would be selected as a Reincarnator anyway; the other was that as a rare item, the invitation's greatest value lay in recruiting the most powerful combatants possible.

According to the deductions he and Orochimaru had made, the Main God's missions usually tended to alter events that were highly likely to occur—in other words, interfering with fate.

Assuming this premise was correct, the few dozen words in the mission description likely represented the lonely, miserable childhood Naruto had endured in another timeline!

The mere thought that this speculation might be the truth filled him with guilt and self-reproach.

On the other hand, the mention of a "Child of Destiny" also highlighted Naruto's uniqueness, consistent with the conclusions he and Orochimaru had reached.

Special Children of Destiny like Naruto shouldn't be too numerous within a single world, and they were bound to play a pivotal role in the river of fate. People of this caliber, or those closely related to them, were relatively more likely to be selected as Reincarnators.

This was why Minato inferred that Kushina would likely become a Reincarnator, making it all the more necessary to enhance her strength.
