Super Saiyan God Blue

Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta looked rather displeased as he watched Son Goku. In less than a week, Goku's battle power had risen again. It had now reached 265 trillion.

That was only a difference of five trillion, but at their level, that much power could decide the outcome of a fight.

Vegeta's battle power was only 240 trillion. On top of that, he had only recently transformed into a Super Saiyan 4. Although his fight with Lei Chen had helped him grow familiar with the power of this form, familiarity was still a long way from complete mastery.

"Yaaah!"

Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta let out a roar and charged at Super Saiyan 4 Goku.

Super Saiyan 4 Goku immediately took off into the sky. He knew that either of them could cause tremendous damage to the Lookout with even a casual attack.

"I never thought Vegeta would look so much cooler than Goku as a Super Saiyan 4!"

Bulma watched Vegeta transform into a Super Saiyan 4 and fly into the sky after Super Saiyan 4 Goku, then couldn't help laughing.

Chi-Chi heard Bulma's remark and was naturally unhappy that she had said Vegeta looked cooler than Goku. She went over to Bulma and shouted, "My Goku is way more handsome than Vegeta!"

"No, Vegeta's handsomer!"

"Goku's handsomer!"

And so Bulma and Chi-Chi started arguing over whether Goku or Vegeta was more handsome.

It wasn't until Mr. Satan showed up that the two women separated. Unfortunately for him, he took a punch from each of them.

Lei Chen watched the scene that had happened ahead of schedule and felt a little speechless. In the original story, Bulma and Chi-Chi had only argued about who was more handsome during the fight with the Evil Dragons. Now it had happened early.

Lei Chen turned his gaze to Son Gohan. Gohan was dozens of times stronger now than he had been ten years ago.

Ten years later, Gohan had become a famous scholar. With his career going well, he had naturally found some time to train, though he had still wasted quite a bit of time. But now, Gohan had a battle power of three trillion.

"Gohan!"

Lei Chen suddenly called out to him.

"Oh, M-Mr. Lei Chen, you called?"

Gohan turned around and looked at Lei Chen curiously.

He didn't know why Lei Chen had suddenly called to him.

"Catch!"

Lei Chen suddenly tossed a small bag of Senzu Beans to Gohan.

"W-what's this?"

Gohan looked at Lei Chen in surprise. The bag was full, with nearly fifty beans inside. He suspected they were Senzu Beans, but couldn't be sure that Lei Chen would just give him so many at once.

"That's right, they're Senzu Beans. Consider them a gift from me. Make sure to give one to Vegeta later. He's about to lose."

As he spoke, Lei Chen used Instant Transmission and vanished.

After training with Vegeta for a full year in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Lei Chen's combat experience had improved quite a bit. He still couldn't match Vegeta or Goku, but if he faced Goku again now—

With the same battle power, Lei Chen definitely wouldn't be as helpless as before. But if it were a fight to the death, he would still lose.

"Heh, looks like Vegeta's lost again."

Lei Chen sensed Vegeta's energy rapidly declining and figured it wouldn't be long before he dropped out of his Super Saiyan 4 form.

At the start of their fight, Goku had only been trying to gain the upper hand, and the two had been more or less evenly matched. But later, Vegeta would lose to Goku because he ran out of energy.

After all, Goku had been holding back the whole time, fighting with the same amount of power as Vegeta. He was also much more experienced with the Super Saiyan 4 transformation, which was why beating Vegeta hadn't been too difficult for him.

"The strongest martial art in the Dragon Ball world has to be Ultra Instinct. I should be qualified to train in this divine technique, which even the gods struggle to master."

Lei Chen thought to himself. In the original story, Goku only started training in Ultra Instinct, taught to him by the angel Whis, after reaching Super Saiyan Blue.

As described in the original story, Ultra Instinct was different from the old way of fighting, which relied on sensing ki. Instead, every part of the body automatically launched reflexive attacks and defenses without the brain's direction, increasing reaction and movement speed. Body and consciousness were separated, allowing each part to sense danger beyond instinct, without the brain needing to think.

It was a state passed down among the gods, an explosive release of potential that came after breaking through one's limits. Even the gods struggled to reach its pinnacle. The God of Destruction Beerus had received relevant training but had never fully mastered it.

Ultra Instinct was a state, a level of cultivation belonging to the gods. When Goku mastered it and became the White God, it wasn't a Saiyan transformation at all, but a divine technique.

It could unleash a person's power a hundredfold. The more power someone had hidden within them, the greater the technique's might.

When Goku wasn't transformed, the power of Super Saiyan was completely concealed throughout his body. Once he used Ultra Instinct, he could unleash a hundred or even several hundred times the power of his Super Saiyan form.

Even if the gods mastered Ultra Instinct, they might not be able to unleash power as great as Goku's.

Lei Chen closed his eyes and stood above an endless, deep-blue sea, quietly sensing its vastness and the power of nature around him.

His aura rapidly declined. In the blink of an eye, it fell from 15 billion to 100 million, then finally to zero.

Suddenly, a sacred aura surged. Behind Lei Chen, a brilliant sea of starlight burst forth.

Lei Chen's appearance changed. His hair and eyebrows turned blue, and a faint blue light gleamed in his pupils. His aura was sacred and radiant, flecked with starlike points. The energy was remarkably fluid, its outer layer gently undulating as bubble-like wisps swirled through it.

Lei Chen hadn't successfully attained enlightenment into Ultra Instinct, but he had managed to transform into Super Saiyan God Blue, a form beyond Super Saiyan God!

"Could this count as an unexpected bonus?"

Lei Chen smiled. Super Saiyan God Blue was four times as powerful as Super Red. (The original story only said it was several times stronger than Super Red, without specifying how many, so let's set it at four times, the same increase as from Super Saiyan 2 to Super Saiyan 3.)

In Super Saiyan God Blue, Lei Chen's battle power was 960; in Super Red (4), 240; in Super Saiyan 3, 12 trillion; in Super Saiyan 2, three trillion; in Super Saiyan 1, five trillion; and in his base form, 30 billion.

As for Super Saiyan 4 God, its power was twice that of Super Red, but half that of Super Blue.

Now that the power of Super Saiyan God had advanced, Lei Chen could no longer easily fuse the power of Super God and Super Saiyan 4. In other words, Lei Chen now had to train to fuse these two powers.
