Super 17

After successfully transforming into Super Saiyan God Blue, Lei Chen stopped training and began touring New Earth.

After all, you had to take things one step at a time. Breaking through from Super Saiyan 2 to Super Saiyan God Blue in less than three years was already his limit. If he kept his head down and trained nonstop, he wouldn't gain much more power.

You had to stay grounded and take things one step at a time. You couldn't rush success; many things took time to build up before they could pay off.

Take Lei Chen, for example. He'd trained hard for over forty years just to reach Super Saiyan 2. But after coming to Earth and finding such a good training environment, he'd gone from Super Saiyan 2 to Super Saiyan God in less than three years. If you didn't count his time in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, it had taken less than a month.

Time kept passing, and Lei Chen enjoyed a rather comfortable stretch on Earth. By now, fifteen years had gone by. His power hadn't increased much, but he'd mastered the Super Saiyan Blue transformation. Transforming into Super Saiyan Blue no longer drained much of his stamina.

The sun was shining brightly that day. Lei Chen was lounging in a deck chair, leisurely sipping some juice.

"I wonder when Super 17 will show up!"

Gazing up at the cloudless blue sky, Lei Chen had no idea how much longer he'd have to wait.

If Android 17 still hadn't appeared in a few days, Lei Chen would have to leave this world.

"Rumble!"

A sudden explosion rang out, making the juice in Lei Chen's hand tremble. A moment later, the ground began to shake.

Whoosh!

A strong gust swept past, making the trees and flowers around him sway.

Lei Chen also saw the once-bright sky suddenly grow dark.

"So the living world and Hell are merging!"

The corners of Lei Chen's mouth lifted into a smile.

He turned toward the source of the explosion. He could sense several familiar yet unfamiliar auras.

They were familiar because he recognized some of their owners. He'd encountered Nappa and Frieza before, along with the combined auras of Cell, the Ginyu Force, King Cold, and others...

They were unfamiliar because this was the GT Timeline, and these auras only belonged to enemies resembling ones Lei Chen had met before.

He could sense nearly every character from the story, except Android 17. Perhaps it was because Android 17 was an android that Lei Chen couldn't sense his aura.

"Looks like I get to watch the action live again!"

He drained the rest of his juice and set the glass on the table.

Lei Chen focused on Vegeta's aura and used Instant Transmission to appear beside him.

Why hadn't Lei Chen teleported to Son Goku? Because Son Goku had already been drawn into Hell.

Countless people who had died in the past had appeared in the living world. Earth was in complete chaos.

You had to hand it to Dr. Gero and Dr. Myuu: both were top-notch geniuses. Even after dying, they'd managed to defy the rules of Hell and merge it with the living world.

After King Cold, the Ginyu Force, and the others appeared, Son Gohan, Vegeta, and the rest had already rushed to the scene.

As soon as the Ginyu Force saw Vegeta, they attacked without a word. They hated the man who had killed them.

But they'd picked the wrong opponent. Vegeta didn't even need to transform into a Super Saiyan. A few casual energy blasts were enough to wipe them out.

King Cold went after Trunks, who had once killed him. Unfortunately, he'd picked the wrong man, too. This wasn't the Trunks who had killed him, and he was taken out in a flash.

"Hmph, I wondered how strong they'd gotten after all these years. They're all completely pathetic."

Vegeta snorted.

When his old enemies showed up again, he'd thought he might get to test the power of Super Saiyan 4. He was getting a little tired of sparring with Son Goku every day.

But when he arrived at the scene, he found that King Cold, the Ginyu Force, and the others were nothing to worry about.

Not just him—even the younger Saiyans like Son Gohan and Trunks could take them down with ease. There'd been no need for him to come.

"Yeah, I thought they'd be a lot more trouble!"

Son Goten said casually.

"Don't let your guard down. Android 17 hasn't shown up yet."

Trunks said gravely. He still remembered how Android 17 had taken him out with a single move just a few hours ago. If Android 17 hadn't spared him to deliver a message to Son Goku, he'd be dead by now.

"That's right, Goten. Don't let your guard down. I couldn't beat Trunks with one move, either. Maybe only Dad and Uncle Vegeta could do that."

Just then, Vegeta spoke up. "Come out. I know you've been watching for a while."

"What!"

Son Goten was startled. "You mean Android 17 was here all along?"

"Androids don't have auras, so it's only natural we couldn't detect him," Son Gohan said gravely.

"Haha, so you did find us. Too bad Son Goku isn't here. You have no chance against my Super 17."

An old man's voice rang out.

Son Gohan and the others' expressions tightened as they turned toward the sound.

Three figures came into view: two old men and a tall, slender young man with long hair.

"Dr. Gero!"

Son Gohan and the others cried out in surprise.

The white-bearded, white-haired old man with a halo over his head was none other than Dr. Gero, the creator of the androids.

"So it really is you, Dr. Myuu. I can't believe you came back from Hell to the living world even after dying!"

Trunks and Pan glared at the other old man, who had yellow hair.

Baby, created by Dr. Myuu, had nearly destroyed Earth. If Son Goku hadn't transformed into Super Saiyan 4 at the end, the consequences would have been dire.

But Dr. Myuu had already been killed by Trunks and the others on another planet. They hadn't expected him to show up again.

And now he was working with Dr. Gero.

"I can't believe you two teamed up," Trunks said with a grim expression.

"Hmph. You're enemies to both of us. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. We've come back for revenge!"

Dr. Myuu said impassively.

"Hmph. Revenge?"

"Don't get ahead of yourselves. I have no interest in two old men like you. Get Android 17 out here. That guy got a little stronger and started getting cocky."

Vegeta gave a disdainful smile, his words full of contempt.

Lei Chen had often insulted Vegeta like that in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Now Vegeta was using the line on Android 17.

"Haha, he's not called Android 17 anymore. Now he's Super 17!"

"Super 17, attack! Kill them all!"

Dr. Gero sneered, then shouted for Super 17 to come out.
