Space Divine Power and the Power of Destruction

A sacred aura billowed, and behind Lei Chen, a sea of brilliant, starry light suddenly burst forth.

Lei Chen's appearance changed. His long red hair shortened into a Super Saiyan hairstyle, while his swept-up hair and eyebrows turned blue. A faint blue glow shone in his eyes, and the sacred, luminous aura around him was speckled with starlike points.

The aura was extraordinarily fluid. Its outer layer gently pulsed, occasionally swirling with bubble-like wisps.

Lei Chen's power level rapidly dropped from 480 trillion to zero, but the power within his body had already reached 960 trillion.

"A blue Super Saiyan God?"

Beerus looked at Lei Chen's new form with a curious expression.

"This isn't an ordinary Super Saiyan God. This is a Super Saiyan among Super Saiyan Gods, far more powerful than a Super Saiyan God. His power is several times that of an ordinary Super Saiyan God. I call him Super Saiyan God Blue."

Before Beerus could react, Lei Chen's fist appeared right in front of him.

The next moment, Beerus shot down from the starry sky like a streak of light and crashed onto Earth.

The entire planet shook, nearly making everyone think an earthquake had struck.

When the trembling stopped, a massive impact crater over ten thousand meters in diameter had appeared in the ground.

Beerus rose from the crater looking disheveled, a cold glint in his eyes. He calmly brushed off his clothes.

"Super Saiyan God Blue, even more powerful than an ordinary Super Saiyan God?

Heh, now this is interesting!"

Instead of getting angry, Beerus laughed. Purple light surged from his body, and the muscles in his arms swelled. He grew much more imposing than before.

Beerus gathered a strange purple energy in his hand. If it touched Earth, the planet would be destroyed in an instant. This was the power Beerus had gained as a God of Destruction—the power of a true god.

As Beerus fixed his gaze on him, Lei Chen felt a sudden sense of danger, the kind he couldn't escape.

"If I can't dodge it, then..."

Just as the thought crossed Lei Chen's mind, Beerus's Destruction Energy Sphere was already rushing toward him.

"Be destroyed, Super Saiyan God!"

"What!"

"Lei Chen, get out of the way!"

Everyone thought Lei Chen was about to die beneath Beerus's attack.

A chill ran through them, and they cried out in alarm.

Only moments ago, Lei Chen had been winning the fight. How could things have changed so drastically all at once?

"Damn it, Lei Chen! Why isn't that idiot dodging?"

Vegeta was furious. He couldn't believe Lei Chen would die so easily. No matter how powerful Beerus's energy sphere was, Lei Chen shouldn't be killed that easily.

Just as Beerus's Destruction Energy was about to hit Lei Chen, both he and the energy vanished.

The next moment, a scream rang out from where Beerus stood.

"Ah!"

Beerus stared in shock as purple energy coiled around his entire body.

"This... this guy!"

Even though Beerus had fired the Destruction Energy Sphere himself and hadn't used his full power, he was still suffering after Lei Chen used Instant Transmission to bring him and his attack together. It was hardly a pleasant experience.

The purple Destruction Energy slowly faded away. Beerus glared at Lei Chen, who had appeared in front of him.

"Space Divine Power. I never thought you'd reach the Realm of Gods."

"That's right, but I still can't match your Destruction Divine Power!"

Lei Chen smiled calmly. He seemed composed, but the truth was that the moment before had been perilous.

Beerus's Destruction Divine Power was far more deeply cultivated than Lei Chen's Space Divine Power.

This power had transcended the limits of space. Once a target was marked, the Power of Destruction would pursue it to the ends of the universe and destroy it. Escape was impossible. Even Instant Transmission couldn't easily evade it.

Knowing this, Lei Chen realized that if he couldn't dodge the attack, he would have to redirect it toward Beerus.

So he made a dangerous decision. Lei Chen used his Saiyan Divine Power to surround Beerus's Destruction Divine Power. It was devoured almost instantly, but that gave Lei Chen just enough time to teleport it to Beerus.

That was why Beerus had been hit by his own Destruction Divine Power.

"Lei Chen's Instant Transmission can even take an energy attack that terrifying with it. He must have put an incredible amount of effort into mastering that ability to pull it off."

"Super Saiyan God Blue is even more powerful than an ordinary Super Saiyan God. He's amazing!"

Son Goku stared excitedly at Lei Chen, who had transformed into Super Blue. He wished he could take Lei Chen's place and fight Beerus himself. But Son Goku had no idea how worried Lei Chen was right now, or what he should do next.

He had made Beerus suffer with Instant Transmission this time, but he couldn't pull off that trick every time.

Though he kept up a relaxed facade, Lei Chen watched Beerus intently.

"Hahaha, I'm getting more and more excited!"

Beerus laughed loudly. Purple energy suddenly poured out of him, wrapping around his body in an instant.

Beerus attacked again—and for the first time, he took the initiative.

The next moment, a terrible crash echoed across the sky. Beerus had used his overwhelming strength to send Lei Chen flying.

"Damn, he's fast—and so strong!"

As Lei Chen's body hurtled backward, the thought flashed through his mind.

"If I can't keep up with your speed, I'll use Instant Transmission!"

The instant the thought crossed his mind, his flying body vanished.

Whoosh! Beerus's lightning-fast attacks began.

The two became streaks of light, each a different color.

One was a flickering blue light, the other a purple divine glow. They fought at incredible speed high above Earth.

Only Whis could clearly follow Beerus and Lei Chen's movements.

The others, even Son Goku, could only hear the battle sounds echoing from the sky. They were completely stunned.

Thud!

After a violent collision, Lei Chen stumbled. The instant his body appeared, Beerus drove him back with a punch, forcing him to take a step backward.

"Damn, he's too fast. I can't see him at all. Even if my Instant Transmission is fast enough to keep me out of his reach, he can still read my every move!"

Lei Chen thought with a bitter smile.
