"Looks like I've got no choice but to use this move. If my eyes go blind, I'll just have to leave it to fate."

As he spoke, Lei Chen closed his eyes and quickly used Instant Transmission to put some distance between himself and Beerus.

"This damn Instant Transmission is such a nuisance!"

Beerus grumbled in annoyance. Even though his power surpassed Lei Chen's, what good was that if he couldn't land a hit?

"Has he given up?"

"But it doesn't look like it?"

Beerus watched Lei Chen close his eyes right in front of him, then repeatedly use Instant Transmission to put distance between them. He couldn't figure out what Lei Chen was trying to do.

Still, he guessed Lei Chen was probably preparing some big move.

Suddenly, Lei Chen's eyes snapped open, revealing one black pupil and one silver pupil. Countless fine golden patterns lined his irises. The moment his eyes opened, lightning flashed and thunder roared around him, raging like towering waves.

The instant Lei Chen opened his eyes, everything before him changed. He could see Son Goku and everyone else beneath the surface of the Earth as clearly as if they were standing in front of him.

He could see Android 18 standing beside Krillin, her curvy figure and even the details beneath her revealing bra. And Bulma—

"What's going on?"

The blonde beauty standing beside Krillin, who was barely five feet tall, folded her arms across her chest. Her starry blue eyes were filled with confusion.

The blonde beauty was Android 18.

"Why do I feel like someone just saw right through me?"

Android 18 suddenly felt as though she were standing naked while someone stared at her from up close. But the sensation quickly disappeared.

"Was that just my imagination?"

Android 18 couldn't help frowning, her face full of confusion. She couldn't make sense of it.

After seeing Bulma, Lei Chen quickly turned his attention away and looked at Beerus.

"My Samsara God Eye has finally succeeded!"

Lei Chen stared at Beerus with one black eye and one silver eye.

Beerus didn't say anything. He simply studied Lei Chen's eyes curiously. He could tell that Lei Chen's aura hadn't changed at all; unlike a Saiyan whose power increased when his hair changed color.

"Forget it. I have no idea what's going on, so I'll just try attacking him!"

Beerus muttered to himself.

No sooner had the words left his mouth than—

"Bang!"

Bang!

A thunderous impact rang out. Beerus staggered, his rapid movement coming to an abrupt halt as he took a step backward.

"Oh my, Lord Beerus is actually at a disadvantage!"

Whis was surprised to see Lei Chen force Beerus back. After all, once Beerus used Destruction Divine Power, his strength was several times greater than Lei Chen's.

"This is strange. Lei Chen's strength hasn't increased at all, so how did he manage to push Beerus back?"

"Could Lei Chen have mastered some other special ability?"

Son Goku asked curiously from the sidelines.

"You're right. His strength hasn't increased at all, but those eyes of his have become quite impressive!"

"If I'm not mistaken, his strange eyes completely saw through Lord Beerus's movements!"

Whis spoke in a serious tone.

"What? Does that mean Lei Chen can really beat Lord Beerus?"

Son Goku's face lit up with joy.

Though Son Goku really wanted to fight Beerus, he had already lost. If Lei Chen lost too, there was a good chance Beerus would destroy the Earth.

So of course Son Goku was happy.

"Not necessarily. Lei Chen may be able to see through Lord Beerus's movements, but don't forget that his strength is far too weak compared to Lord Beerus's. It's impossible to say who will win."

"But one thing is certain: at the very least, this Saiyan, Lei Chen, can remain undefeated. That means your Earth might be safe."

"Of course, that's assuming Lord Beerus doesn't get so frustrated at being unable to hit Lei Chen that he takes his anger out on the Earth."

Whis gave Son Goku a knowing smile. His first remark made Vegeta and the others breathe a sigh of relief, but his last one left them horrified.

Whis was right. The Earth might really be saved, provided Beerus didn't get so furious at being unable to beat Lei Chen that he took it out on them. Otherwise, they were finished.

They knew Lei Chen hadn't grown up on Earth, and unlike Vegeta, he hadn't settled down there. Lei Chen might not be willing to risk his life for the Earth by fighting Beerus.

Besides, even if he was willing, he would still have to be strong enough to hold Beerus off.

They had just heard Whis say that although Lei Chen could see through Beerus's movements, his strength was far below Beerus's.

"Damn it!"

"When have I, Vegeta, ever left my fate in someone else's hands? And a Saiyan, no less! I am the prince of the Saiyans!"

Vegeta ground his teeth, watching Lei Chen trade blows with Beerus in the sky with a deeply frustrated expression.

Beerus's fist was just about to smash into Lei Chen's cheek.

But Lei Chen vanished in an instant. When he reappeared, he had already swung a counterpunch at Beerus. Beerus easily dodged it and immediately struck back.

As the battle continued, Son Goku gradually noticed that Lei Chen was beginning to tire. At first, Lei Chen had avoided Beerus's attacks perfectly, but now he was growing more and more frantic.

Lei Chen's performance had changed completely from before.

The others might not have noticed because they weren't strong enough, but Son Goku could clearly sense Lei Chen's stamina waning.

"This is bad. Using Instant Transmission like that takes too much energy. He's probably going to lose."

After hearing Son Goku, Vegeta also noticed that Lei Chen's movements weren't as smooth as before. Earlier, Beerus couldn't get near him, but now that was no longer the case.

Vegeta had just noticed the problem when—

Lei Chen's body suddenly shuddered. Beerus finally landed a punch, sending blood spraying from Lei Chen's mouth as his body was hurled away.

He plummeted from the sky and didn't stop until his feet dug into the ground, carving out two deep furrows.

Beerus slowly descended from the sky, his hands behind his back as he looked down at Lei Chen arrogantly. "Super Saiyan God, I knew those eyes of yours would drain your stamina. Otherwise, I really wouldn't have been able to do anything to you!"

"Heh, you're right, Beerus. These eyes of mine do drain a lot of my stamina. But I don't think you can do anything to me after all."

As he spoke, Lei Chen took out a Senzu Bean right in front of Beerus and ate it. The next moment, a terrifying aura burst from his body, even stronger than before.

"Damn!"

Seeing Lei Chen eat the Senzu Bean and instantly return to peak condition left even Beerus dumbfounded. He couldn't help swearing.
