As he spoke, Lei Chen closed his eyes, his body rapidly utilizing Instant Transmission to put some distance between himself and Beerus.

"This damn Instant Transmission is such a nuisance!"

Beerus remarked with a look of extreme annoyance. Even though his power far surpassed Lei Chen's, it was useless if he couldn't actually land a hit.

"Has he given up?"

"But it doesn't quite look like it..."

Beerus watched as Lei Chen kept his eyes shut right in front of him, yet continued to use Instant Transmission to retreat. Beerus couldn't quite grasp what Lei Chen was planning, though he guessed the boy was likely preparing a powerful technique.

Suddenly, Lei Chen's eyes snapped open, revealing pupils—one black and one silver—etched with countless fine, golden dao patterns. The moment his eyes opened, his body erupted with flashes of lightning and thunder, accompanied by surging, monstrous waves of energy.

The instant Lei Chen opened his eyes, he felt as if everything before him had changed. He could see everyone on Earth clearly, even those beneath the surface.

He could see the fiery figure of Android 18 standing beside Krillin, even catching the details beneath her somewhat revealing bra. Then, there was Bulma...

"What... what is going on?"

Standing beside the five-foot-tall Krillin, the blonde beauty crossed her arms, her blue, star-like eyes filled with a strange emotion.

This blonde beauty was none other than Android 18.

"Why do I feel like someone just saw right through me?"

At that moment, Android 18 felt as if she had been stripped naked and inspected at close range, though the sensation vanished as quickly as it had appeared.

"Was it just my imagination?"

Android 18 couldn't help but knit her brows, her face full of confusion as she struggled to make sense of it.

After catching a glimpse of Bulma, Lei Chen hurriedly shifted his focus away and locked his gaze onto Beerus.

"My Samsara God Eye has finally succeeded!"

Lei Chen declared, his black and silver eyes fixed on Beerus.

Beerus didn't speak, merely observing the pair of eyes with curiosity. He could naturally sense that Lei Chen's aura hadn't changed in the slightest; it wasn't like the Saiyans, whose power increased whenever their hair changed color.

"Forget it. Since I can't figure out what's going on, I'll just have to test it out myself!"

Beerus muttered to himself.

No sooner had the words left his lips than—

"Bang!"

With a violent collision, Beerus stumbled, his high-speed movement abruptly broken as he was forced to take a step back.

"Oh my, Lord Beerus has actually been pushed onto the defensive!"

Whis looked on in surprise that Lei Chen had managed to force Beerus back. One had to remember that once Beerus utilized his God of Destruction power, his strength was several times that of Lei Chen.

"It's truly strange. Lei Chen's power hasn't increased at all, so why was he able to push Beerus back?"

"Could it be that Lei Chen has mastered some other special ability?"

Son Goku, standing to the side, asked curiously.

"You are correct. His power hasn't increased in the slightest, but those eyes of his have become formidable!"

"If I'm not mistaken, Lord Beerus's movements were completely countered by those strange eyes of his!"

Whis said, his tone turning serious.

"What? Doesn't that mean Lei Chen might actually be able to defeat Lord Beerus?"

Son Goku said, his face lighting up with joy.

Although Son Goku desperately wanted to fight Beerus himself, he had already lost. If Lei Chen lost as well, Earth would likely be destroyed by Beerus. Therefore, Son Goku was naturally overjoyed.

"That is not necessarily the case. While Lei Chen can see through Lord Beerus's movements, you must not forget that his power is far too weak compared to Lord Beerus. It is impossible to say who will win or lose."

"However, one thing is certain: at the very least, this Saiyan, Lei Chen, can remain undefeated. In other words, your Earth might just be saved."

"Of course, that is assuming Lord Beerus doesn't get so frustrated by his inability to land a hit that he decides to take his anger out on the planet."

Whis looked at Son Goku with a half-smile. The first half of his sentence made Vegeta and the others breathe a sigh of relief, but the second half left them all terrified.

Whis was right; Earth might indeed be saved, but only if Beerus didn't get so humiliated and enraged by his inability to hit Lei Chen that he turned his wrath upon them. If that happened, they were finished.

They were well aware that Lei Chen was not a Saiyan who had grown up on Earth, nor had he started a family there like Vegeta. There was no guarantee Lei Chen would risk his life against Beerus for the sake of the planet.

Besides, even if he wanted to, he would have to be able to withstand Beerus first.

They had just heard Whis say that while Lei Chen could see through Beerus's movements, his power was still vastly inferior.

"Damn it!"

"Since when would I, Vegeta, ever leave my fate in the hands of another, let alone a Saiyan? I am the Prince of all Saiyans!"

Vegeta gritted his teeth, watching Lei Chen trade blows with Beerus in the sky with a look of utter unwillingness.

Beerus's fist was just about to slam into Lei Chen's cheek.

But in the next instant, Lei Chen vanished entirely. When he reappeared, he threw a backhand punch at Beerus, only for the God of Destruction to dodge it with ease and launch a counterattack.

As the battle wore on, Son Goku slowly began to notice that Lei Chen's stamina was waning. Where Lei Chen had initially dodged Beerus's attacks perfectly, he was now becoming increasingly flustered.

Lei Chen's current performance was a world of difference from just a moment ago.

Others might not have noticed due to a lack of strength, but Son Goku could clearly feel Lei Chen's energy reserves depleting.

"This is bad. Using Instant Transmission like that consumes too much stamina; I'm afraid he's going to lose."

Son Goku said, his expression heavy.

Hearing Son Goku's words, Vegeta began to notice that Lei Chen's movements were no longer as fluid as before. Previously, Lei Chen had been able to keep Beerus at bay, but that was no longer the case.

Vegeta had only just realized the issue.

Suddenly, Lei Chen's body shuddered as Beerus finally landed a punch. A spray of blood erupted from Lei Chen's mouth as he was sent flying.

He plummeted from the sky, his feet carving two deep trenches into the ground before he finally came to a halt.

Beerus descended slowly from the sky, hands behind his back, looking down at Lei Chen with an arrogant expression. "Super Saiyan God, this god knew that those eyes of yours would consume a massive amount of your stamina. Otherwise, I truly wouldn't have been able to do anything to you!"

"Heh, you're right, Beerus. These eyes of mine do indeed drain a massive amount of my stamina, but I still don't think you can do anything to me."

As he spoke, Lei Chen pulled out a Senzu Bean and ate it right in front of Beerus. The next moment, a terrifying aura erupted violently from Lei Chen's body—an aura even more powerful than the one he had before.

"Damn it!"

Seeing Lei Chen eat a Senzu Bean and instantly return to his peak state, even Beerus was dumbfounded, unable to stop himself from cursing out loud.
