Another Time Machine

After the Androids departed, Li Lin began to assess everyone's injuries.

At the same time, he took out Senzu Beans from his person and fed them to each one of them in turn.

He had obtained these Senzu Beans from Krillin after sending him away earlier, and now they were finally coming in handy.

Once everyone had consumed the Senzu Beans, they gradually recovered their strength.

"Argh! Damn it!"

After rising to his feet, Vegeta let out an angry roar toward the sky.

He had originally intended to unleash his full power and show off his prowess after transforming into a Super Saiyan.

Never had he imagined that he would suffer such a miserable defeat in his first battle.

His pride could hardly bear it.

After his angry outburst, Vegeta felt it was too humiliating to remain here and simply flew away.

Seeing his father in such a state, Trunks felt the urge to pursue him, but he thought better of it; he wasn't very close to him yet, and even if he caught up, there was nothing he could say to persuade him.

He then turned his gaze toward Li Lin and complained, "Mr. Li Lin, you clearly had the strength to finish off the Androids. Why did you let them leave just now?"

Although Trunks had been struck down by No. 18 earlier, his injuries were not severe.

He had heard every word of the conversation between Li Lin and the Androids.

In his view, letting them go was an incredibly foolish decision; if he possessed that kind of power, he would never do such a thing.

Seeing his complaining expression, Li Lin shook his head with a smile and said calmly, "Haven't you noticed that the Androids of this timeline are different from the ones in your own?"

Trunks was slightly stunned by this and asked in confusion, "How are they different?"

"They aren't as cruel and bloodthirsty as you described. In fact, they are closer to being human—or rather, they are human to begin with."

Li Lin explained patiently.

In truth, this was the case; the Androids of this timeline were vastly different from those in the world Trunks had traveled from.

Perhaps because of his arrival, the Androids of this world were not nearly as ruthless.

At the very least, as far as they had seen, they hadn't destroyed anything or killed anyone.

"But, Mr. Li Lin..."

Seeing Li Lin's attitude, Trunks wanted to say more.

However, Li Lin waved his hand to cut him off. "Of course, if they ever do commit any outrageous acts, I will not sit idly by. But for now, at least, I believe they are still capable of kindness."

Seeing that persuasion was futile, Trunks decided not to waste his breath.

He, too, had noticed that the Androids in this timeline seemed truly different from those in his own world.

The Androids of this world were somewhat excessively powerful.

And they didn't appear to be as vicious as the ones from his timeline.

"Listen, I'll say this now: regardless of what you think, if I run into them, I will do everything in my power to destroy them!"

Piccolo clenched his fists and gritted his teeth as he spoke.

He had been dealt a blow to his pride; he had lost his ability to fight after taking only a single hit from the Androids.

His arrogant heart was not a whit weaker than Vegeta's.

He had just received a telepathic message from the Lookout, informing him that he could merge with the Guardian to increase his power.

Piccolo accepted without hesitation; once he merged with the Guardian, he would no longer have to fear the Androids.

With that, he flared his aura and flew off in the direction of the Lookout.

"What do we do now?"

Yamcha asked Li Lin.

Li Lin smiled and said, "There's nothing to do for now, so we might as well head back. There's nothing happening here anyway, and as long as the Androids don't cause trouble, we can treat them like ordinary people!"

Tien Shinhan and Yamcha nodded in agreement.

In truth, they were still somewhat afraid of the Androids, and as long as they didn't have to face them directly, everything was fine.

Being able to return was the best outcome.

Just then, a flight craft flew in from the distance; it was Krillin.

He had already taken Son Goku home and ensured he had taken his medicine; his condition was very stable, and it was just a matter of waiting for him to recover.

Worried that the others wouldn't be able to handle the Androids, he had simply piloted the craft over.

"Where are the Androids? Where are they? Is everyone alright?"

Krillin stepped out of the craft and hurried forward to ask.

Seeing that it was Krillin, Li Lin smiled and said, "Everyone is fine. The Androids have already left and pose no immediate threat. Let's head back for now!"

Hearing Li Lin's explanation, Krillin rubbed his bald head in confusion.

For some reason, he couldn't shake the feeling that he had missed something.

But as for what exactly he had missed, he couldn't quite put his finger on it for the moment!

With that, the group boarded Krillin's aircraft, preparing to depart.

Suddenly, mid-flight, Bulma called them, "Can you hear me? There's some breaking news you all need to hear!"

Upon hearing this, the group immediately gathered around, ready to listen to the news.

On the other end of the line, Bulma looked at a set of images and said, "A strange aircraft was just discovered near a mountain!"

"The mountain patrol notified Capsule Corp, saying the craft bore our company's logo and asked us to handle it."

"However, while the images sent over do indeed show our company's logo, the signal from this craft is not one we developed!"

The group was left completely bewildered.

What did this have to do with them? They didn't deal with such matters.

Only Li Lin leaned against the side of the aircraft, smiling mysteriously.

If nothing went wrong, this craft must have also traveled back from the future.

The one who arrived was likely Cell from the future!

"Bulma, are you sure you aren't mistaken? What does this have to do with us?"

Krillin asked, puzzled.

Bulma replied calmly, "Don't be so impatient, let me finish. Although this craft wasn't made by our company, I've seen Trunks ride in one before; it must be his Time Machine!"

Trunks felt a surge of doubt upon hearing this and opened the equipment he was carrying.

He took out a capsule and frowned, saying, "That's not right. My Time Machine has been with me the whole time; that one shouldn't be mine."

Bulma wasn't surprised, as she could see that the Time Machine had clearly been sitting there for a long time.

At the same time, she transmitted the photos to the aircraft the group was piloting.

Trunks' expression turned to one of shock as he saw them, "This... this really is my Time Machine. What is going on?"

Bulma nodded on the other end, "It doesn't matter. We'll know the specifics once we go take a look. Hurry over here, and we'll head there together!"
