Vegeta vs. Beast Yakon

"It feels just like a video game," Son Gohan said in the corridor, looking slightly excited.

"Hmph, a boring game," Vegeta scoffed, maintaining his usual "stay away" expression.

The Supreme Kai had yet to recover from the shock of Trunks obliterating Pui Pui; the power Trunks had unleashed truly startled him, leaving him with the sinking feeling that he was the most useless one in the group (which, let's be honest, wasn't just a feeling).

In the control room, Babidi said with some irritation, "How can this be? When I scouted Earth three hundred years ago, there was no one this strong."

Please, just look at their ages; the oldest, Vegeta, is only in his forties. Three hundred years ago, his grandfather wasn't even a liquid.

"Don't worry, this is just the extent of it. There are still three stages left, and besides, you have me, Lord Babidi," Dabura said confidently.

"But Lord Babidi, who shall we send for the second stage?" Dabura asked.

"Yakon, I suppose," Babidi said solemnly.

Dabura was somewhat surprised. "Sending Yakon already, for just the second stage?"

"Perhaps we shouldn't underestimate these Earthlings. Besides, the most important thing right now is to have Majin Buu absorb their energy," Babidi said, looking at the group in the second stage with a grave expression. "You saw that brat, too. If it weren't for Pui Pui relying on the kid's carelessness, he probably wouldn't have gathered any energy at all."

"Yes, Lord Babidi," Dabura said respectfully, then turned to a minion to issue the order: "Yakon is to guard the second level. Go notify him."

"Yes," the alien soldier left.

At the second stage, Vegeta stood impatiently in front of a small hatch. I've been standing here posing for ages, someone come out already.

"This is boring. I should just smash the floor and charge down," Vegeta roared impatiently, spreading his palm toward the floor as energy began to condense.

"You can't do that, Mr. Vegeta! If you destroy the floor, it will cause Majin Buu to awaken prematurely," the Supreme Kai said, scrambling to stop him.

Actually, Son Goten really wanted to say that letting him wake up early would be better, as Buu's power wouldn't be as great, and perhaps Super Saiyan 2 power would be enough to finish him off. However, he knew the Supreme Kai would definitely think he was an idiot for saying that.

"If that's the case, then Majin Buu isn't much of a threat," Vegeta said dismissively. "Just like Dabura."

"Ah, Dabura? What are you trying to say?" the Supreme Kai asked, his face blank with shock.

"That Dabura isn't anything special either. You just have to watch out for his spit. Kibito was just too weak, that's all," Vegeta said bluntly.

The Supreme Kai looked at Son Goku in shock. "Mr. Son Goku, is that true?"

"Yeah, even if he wasn't using his full strength, it's about the same. I thought he'd be more impressive," Son Goku agreed. "His level is about the same as Cell was seven years ago."

Hearing Son Goku's words, the Supreme Kai's heart was thrown into turmoil. That's right, it took so much effort to stop Son Gohan earlier—could it be that he wasn't even using his full strength back then?!

"Clang."

The hatch in front of Vegeta opened, and a green-skinned monster stepped out.

"It's the magic beast Yakon," the Supreme Kai identified the creature.

"Hmph, nothing impressive," Vegeta frowned. "Looks just a bit stronger than the last one, that's all."

"Heh heh."

Yakon let out a sinister laugh and suddenly lunged at Vegeta. Vegeta curled his lip into a look of contempt, shifting his body to dodge Yakon's claw.

"Swish."

A spike protruding from the back of Yakon's hand suddenly elongated, instantly slicing through Vegeta's battle suit.

"Hmm?" Vegeta looked at his abdomen in confusion, seeing the tear in his suit, then chuckled. "So, you have hidden weapons."

"Heh heh heh, well done, Yakon. Kill the Supreme Kai, then wound the other five and absorb their energy so Majin Buu can be resurrected."

Babidi's lecherous laughter echoed through the void, making the group's skin crawl.

"I'll send you to your favorite planet now: the Dark Planet," Babidi said from the control room, casting his magic once more. "Babidi-bu-ba!"

The scene shifted again, plunging into darkness.

"Heh heh, you can't see me, but I can see you quite clearly," Yakon cackled, lunging at Vegeta again and using the two long blades on the back of his hands to slash at him.

Vegeta dodged the blades with a leisurely stroll. Yakon looked at Vegeta in shock. "How did you dodge my attack?"

"Tch, that's all? You just have to sense the flow of the air," Vegeta said with his eyes closed. "But I can also do this."

"Thrum."

Vegeta calmly transformed into a Super Saiyan and said confidently, "Look, you have nowhere to hide now."

Babidi watched Vegeta's transformation in shock, then ordered one of his minions, "Go get the Energy Detector. Pick the one with the highest capacity."

"Yes."

"2,800 Kili," Babidi said, staring at the needle on the detector in surprise, then looked at Yakon with concern. This is troublesome. Yakon is only 800 Kili.

Watching Vegeta's transformation, aside from his initial astonishment, a sinister grin reappeared on Yakon's face as he opened his mouth toward Vegeta.
