"It feels just like a video game," Son Gohan said, sounding a little excited as they walked through the passageway.
"Hmph. What a boring game," Vegeta snorted, still wearing his usual unapproachable expression.
Supreme Kai still hadn't recovered from the shock of Trunks killing Pui Pui. The power Trunks had unleashed just now had truly startled him, making him feel like the most useless member of the group. (That wasn't just a feeling.)
In the control room, Babidi said irritably, "How could this happen? When we investigated Earth three hundred years ago, there weren't any people this strong."
Come on, take a look at their ages. Even Vegeta, the oldest, was only in his forties. Three hundred years ago, his grandfather wasn't even a liquid yet.
"Don't worry. This is only the beginning. There are still three more rounds, and you have me, Lord Babidi," Dabura said confidently.
"But, Lord Babidi, who should we send out for the second round?" Dabura asked.
"Yakon," Babidi said gravely.
Dabura looked a little surprised. "You're sending Yakon out in the second round already?"
"Maybe we shouldn't underestimate these Earthlings. More importantly, we need Majin Buu to absorb their energy," Babidi said gravely, looking at the people in the second chamber. "You saw that kid, too. If Pui Pui hadn't taken advantage of his carelessness, he probably wouldn't have gotten any energy at all."
"Yes, Lord Babidi," Dabura said respectfully. Then he turned to one of the soldiers and ordered, "Yakon will guard the second floor. Go inform him."
"Yes, sir." The alien soldier left.
Vegeta stood impatiently in front of a small hatch in the second chamber. I've been standing here showing off for ages. Hurry up and send someone out!
"This is boring. I might as well smash through the floor and go down myself!" Vegeta roared impatiently, spreading his palm toward the floor as energy gathered in it.
"You can't, Mr. Vegeta! If you destroy the floor, Majin Buu will wake up early!" Supreme Kai hurriedly tried to stop him.
Son Goten really wanted to say that it would be better to wake Buu early. That way, Buu wouldn't be as powerful, and Super Saiyan 2 might be enough to defeat him. But if he said that, Supreme Kai would definitely think he was an idiot.
"If that's all it takes, then Majin Buu isn't much to worry about," Vegeta said disdainfully. "Just like Dabura."
"Ah, Dabura? What are you trying to say?" Supreme Kai asked blankly, looking stunned.
"That Dabura wasn't anything special. You just have to watch out for his spit. Kibito was simply too weak," Vegeta said bluntly.
Supreme Kai looked at Son Goku in shock. "Is that true, Mr. Son Goku?"
"Yeah. Even without going all out, he was about that strong. I thought he'd be a lot tougher," Son Goku said. "He was about as strong as Cell was seven years ago."
Son Goku's words sent shockwaves through Supreme Kai. That's right. It took a huge effort to stop Son Gohan earlier. Could he have been holding back then, too?!
Clang.
The hatch in front of Vegeta opened, and a green-skinned monster emerged.
"That's the monster Yakon," Supreme Kai recognized the green creature and said.
"Hmph. He doesn't look like much," Vegeta said, frowning. "He looks only a little stronger than the last guy."
"Heh heh."
Yakon chuckled maliciously, then suddenly charged at Vegeta. A sneer curled at the corner of Vegeta's mouth as he shifted to the side and dodged Yakon's claw.
Whoosh.
A spike protruding from the back of Yakon's hand suddenly lengthened, slicing through Vegeta's Battle Suit in an instant.
"Hm?" Vegeta looked down at the tear in his abdomen, then chuckled. "So you've got a hidden weapon."
"Heh heh heh. Nice work, Yakon! Kill Supreme Kai, then injure the other five and absorb their energy to revive Majin Buu!"
Babidi's leering laughter rang out from the void, making the others shudder.
"I'll send you to your favorite planet, Dark Planet!" Babidi said, casting another spell in the control room. "Baba Waba!"
The surroundings changed once again, plunging them into darkness.
"Heh heh. You can't see me, but I can see you perfectly," Yakon said with a malicious chuckle, then charged at Vegeta again, slashing at him with the two long blades on the backs of his hands.
Vegeta dodged Yakon's blades with ease. Yakon stared at him in shock. "How did you dodge my attack?"
"Tch. That's all it takes. Just sense the movement of the air," Vegeta said with his eyes closed. "But I can do this, too."
Tuan!
Vegeta transformed into a Super Saiyan, his expression calm. "Look. Now you can't hide."
Babidi watched Vegeta's transformation in shock, then ordered one of his underlings, "Go get the Energy Detector. Bring me the one with the highest power setting."
"Yes, sir."
"Two thousand eight hundred Kili." Babidi stared in astonishment at the needle on the Scouter, then looked worriedly at Yakon. This won't be easy. Yakon's only at eight hundred Kili.
After his initial surprise at Vegeta's transformation, Yakon's face twisted into another malicious grin. He opened his mouth and faced Vegeta.
