History

Zhao Qi first encounters Li Yunjing inside a volcanic secret realm. She initially attempts to ambush him, then tries to draw him into her conflict with the Six Wang Brothers by calling him “husband” in front of them. Li Yunjing kills the brothers after they threaten her, while Zhao Qi proves capable of holding off the remaining two attackers. 407 408

Frightened by Li Yunjing's overwhelming power, Zhao Qi resists him with hidden weapons and even burns her vital essence to escape his pressure. Once she realizes that he does not intend to harm her, she becomes deeply attached to him and chooses to follow him despite knowing that he already has several dao companions. 408 409

During their exploration of the secret realm, Li Yunjing discovers Zhao Qi's superior-grade Ice Spirit Root and gives her ice-attributed cultivation resources. Zhao Qi refuses to claim battle spoils she did not earn, but accepts assistance intended to help her reach the Golden Core Realm and become a genuine ally rather than a burden. 412
