His lips moved a few times, his voice raspy.
"Who... exactly are you?"
Raditz landed slowly at the bottom of the crater, standing before Turles and looking down at him.
"Raditz."
"That's not the name I'm asking for," Turles said, gasping for air. "With a battle power like yours... you can't be a nobody."
Raditz paused for a moment before finally speaking.
"Just like you, a Saiyan."
Turles's eyes widened, staring at Raditz in disbelief, his gaze sweeping from head to toe several times.
Then, he began to laugh with a hint of madness.
"Hahahaha... A Saiyan? You're a Saiyan?"
His smile froze, replaced by a face full of anger and humiliation.
To be defeated with such thunderous force—would he die at the hands of a Saiyan? How pathetic.
"Where is your tail? Are you mocking me?"
Raditz's tone was flat. "Sealed."
"What?"
"My tail. I sealed it."
Raditz had previously trained at Kami's Lookout and specifically observed and consulted with Kami on the method used to seal Goku's tail. He felt that if he were to transform into a Great Ape, there was a high probability he would lose his sanity as well.
"What kind of good reputation do Saiyans have in the universe? Rather than letting people identify me at a glance and causing unnecessary trouble, it's better to hide it."
Turles fell silent.
He lowered his head, looking at his own tail, which had been blasted down to a mere stump.
What Raditz said was the truth.
The reputation of the Saiyans was indeed poor; they were Frieza's lackeys, genocidal maniacs.
But he had never thought about hiding it.
He was proud to be a Saiyan.
"Since you are a Saiyan..." Turles raised his head, his brows furrowed. "Why not join me? Shouldn't members of the same race get along?"
"You are too weak."
"I'm weak?" His voice trembled. "I have consumed so many fruits from the Tree of Might; my battle power has long surpassed that of high-class warriors. You call this weak?"
"Yes."
"Then why are you so strong?" Turles asked with a trace of confusion. "You are the strongest Saiyan I have ever seen. Perhaps you could..."
As he spoke, a glimmer of light flashed in his eyes.
"Strong? I actually feel I'm far too weak."
Turles suddenly struggled, trying to crawl up, his arms bracing against the ground.
"Raditz, it is said that Planet Vegeta was destroyed by a meteor impact, but the truth is that Frieza feared the power of the Saiyans and launched an attack on the planet. Most Saiyans were brutally murdered, and the remaining Saiyans have been reduced to tools in his hands."
"Since you are so strong..."
"Go and defeat Frieza?" Raditz interrupted him. "Don't indulge in such fantasies."
"I can tell you clearly: my current battle power is 500,000."
"But..."
"I can't even touch one percent of Frieza's strength."
"How is that possible?!"
Turles's expression turned grim. He had always believed that with his own strength, as long as he continued to consume the fruits of the Tree of Might at his current pace, he would eventually have the power to defeat Frieza.
But now, someone with a battle power of 500,000 was telling him that he wasn't even one percent of Frieza?
Then how much battle power did Frieza have?
Fifty million?!
"It seems you have deeply realized the gap." Raditz turned to leave. "Then I will tell you one more piece of news: someone with Frieza's level of strength still has to take orders from others."
"Strength is relative. King Vegeta provoked an existence he shouldn't have, which led to the destruction of Planet Vegeta."
"If you continue to destroy planets so recklessly and run into such an existence, no one will be here to have a heart-to-heart with you like I am."
Turles opened his mouth, wanting to retort, but he couldn't find the words.
"Wait!"
Raditz stopped in his tracks.
"You're right, the Tree of Might has its limits. But a Saiyan should act like a Saiyan. Can you tell me how to become stronger?"
Raditz chuckled softly, "I quite appreciated a sentence you said earlier."
Turles froze.
"We are the last remaining Saiyans in this universe; we should get along well."
Raditz took flight, soaring into the air, "That is why I did not kill you."
"Remember those words, and conduct yourself accordingly."
Raditz and Daizi flew back to the royal palace together.
As soon as he landed, Raditz summoned the system in his mind.
[Mission submitted]
[Integrating Seed of Life]
A surge of heat flooded his entire body, as if something had taken root deep within him.
It felt like bathing in a spring breeze, and even his mind grew noticeably clearer.
Raditz closed his eyes, sensing that green energy circulating through his body and merging with his very being.
A moment later, he opened his eyes, "So that is how it is."
The ability of the Seed of Life was far simpler than he had anticipated; he could borrow the life energy of a planet to restore himself.
To put it plainly, as long as he stood on a planet with life, he could draw upon its energy to heal his wounds. Unless the situation was fatal, he would recover gradually.
However, it could only be used for recovery, not for increasing combat power.
After all, it was "borrowing," not "plundering."
Furthermore, the Seed of Life itself would generate life energy, maintaining a base rate of recovery even if he left the planet.
"Not bad at all."
Raditz was quite satisfied. The difficulty of this mission had not been high, and the reward had already exceeded his expectations.
"What are your plans now?" Daizi looked at Raditz, the image of him forcefully crushing the Great Ape still fresh in his mind.
He couldn't help but ask, "Do you still intend to leave?"
"Yes."
"Why not stay?" Daizi stepped forward, his tone sincere, "You saved this entire planet. If you are willing, everything on Pujinpa can be yours."
Raditz turned his head to look at him.
Daizi's gaze was earnest, devoid of any probing.
Preventing the planet from heading toward destruction had been entirely Raditz's doing.
He had always understood the principle that the strong rule, and having someone like Raditz presiding over this planet didn't make him feel humiliated; on the contrary, it gave him peace of mind.
"I will not stay here." Raditz shook his head, "Take good care of your planet. Although it is gradually recovering, it has suffered heavy damage. You will need to put in more effort to return it to its former state."
Daizi wanted to persuade him further.
Raditz raised a hand to interrupt him, "When this place is prosperous once again, I will bring some friends over to visit."
"Very well." That was all he could say.
Just then, a strange noise echoed from the sky. Both men looked up to see a spaceship streak across the horizon and break through the planet's atmosphere.
Turles had left.
Daizi watched the fading trail, finally setting his mind at ease.
His attempt to keep Raditz wasn't just out of genuine admiration for his strength; he had also feared that those guys might return once Raditz left, and with his own strength, he would be unable to fend them off.
Now that they were gone, the weight on his heart finally lifted.
Raditz withdrew his gaze as well.
"That's it then." He patted Daizi on the shoulder and boarded the spaceship he had just released from a Hoi-Poi Capsule, "I'm off. Until we meet again."
