Background / History

Urahara Kisuke was summoned during Aizen's mass summoning spree. He immediately grasped that he had been brought into a new world and coolly called Aizen “heartless,” prompting Aizen to answer that his ruthlessness depended on the target 18.

He quickly became one of Lord Aizen's principal analysts. From Tang San's parentage alone, he inferred the existence of Twin Martial Souls and predicted that Tang San could obtain power far beyond ordinary Soul Masters. He further proposed breaking the limits of humanity through the connection between humans and Soul Beasts 19.

Urahara was among the first to distrust Aizen Sousuke. He privately confronted Sousuke about a possible betrayal, warning him that Lord Aizen—not Sousuke—was the current candidate to ascend the throne. Even after Sousuke denied disloyalty, Urahara continued to regard him as a dangerous and contradictory figure 20 27.
